A Funeral Service for the late Mr. Gordon Percival Higgs, aged 90 years, of Blair Estates, Nassau, The Bahamas and formerly of Harbour Island, The Bahamas who died at his residence on Saturday, 25th January, 2014, will be held at Ebenezer Methodist Church, East Shirley Street, Nassau on Saturday, 1st February, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
Rev. Godfrey A. Bethell, Minister of Ebenezer Methodist Church will officiate and internment will follow in Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery, East Shirley Street, Nassau.
Mr. Higgs was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Octavia J. Higgs and his daughter, Ms Veronica L. Higgs.
He is survived by his brother, Kingdon Higgs; a sister, Adele Reese; a sister-in-law, Catherine Higgs; nephews, Eugene Higgs and family, Michael Higgs, Brian Higgs and family, Andrew Cash and family, Marcian Cash and family; nieces, Claudette Lowe and family, Alberta Campbell and family, Patricia Cash and family, Elizabeth Cash and family, Sandra Burrows and family, Melinda Cartwright and family, Greta Thompson and family; Special Friends, Una Sawyer, Freda Hall, Florence Carey, Bill and Penny Hogg, Ian and Anne Lever, loving Caregivers, Susan Jarrett and Shawana Peirnnock, Barry Packington, Kelly’s Home Centre family and staff, Ebenezer Methodist Church Family and his Masonic brethren and other relatives and friends.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Ebenezer Methodist Church, P.O.Box SS 6145, Nassau, The Bahamas, in memory of Mr. Gordon P. Higgs.
Friends may pay their respects at Kemp’s Funeral Home Limited, 22 Palmdale Avenue, Palmdale, Nassau on Friday, 31st January, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
