Funeral Service For Elder Gertrude Maria Percentie-Barry, age 75 of #8 Valencia Drive, South Beach Estate will be held on Saturday 11:00 am at World Outreach Christian Centre Ministries, Charles W. Saunders Highway. Officiating will be Apostle David Butler and assisted by Rev. Patrick Levarity, Rev. Shayne Taylor, Rev. Edward Mortimer and Deacon Lunning Burrows. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery Cowpen and Spikenard Roads.
She has survived by her husband of fifty-six (56) years: Robert Delsworth Barry; Children: Elmira Gail Barry-Pedican, Shena Enith Barry-Smith, Thomas Allison, and Winifred Gertrude “Trudy” Barry; Daughter and Sons in law: Joan Barry, Bruce Pedican, and Philip Smith Sr.; Grandchildren: Al’Diko, and Al’linisha Barry, Bionka Pedican, Alan and Philip Smith Jr.; Great-grandson: Kamai Barry; Brother and Sisters: Rev. Stephen Percentie Sr., Winifred Johnson, Flossie Percentie, Elvera Clarke, and Ann Percentie-Russell; Brothers and Sisters in law: Calvin Russell, Ruth Percentie, Eloise Percentie, Bill and Doris Barry, Ben and Gloria Barry of Miami, Florida, Marilyn Sands, and Zelda Barry of Miami, Florida; fifty-five (55) nieces and nephews including: Elouise, Ena, Leslie, Morris, Selensia, Shatalia, Stephen Jr., Marsha, Patrice Glinton, Audy, Jerusha, Keturah, Anila, Lyton, William, Andrew, Ashley, Rozelda, Ricardo, Rahaim, Remy, Sheryl, Wayne and Anishka Barry, John Farrar and too numerous of friends and relatives including: The Free National Movement (FNM) Party, Mr. Hubert Ingraham and Family, The Rt. Hon. Hubert Minnis and Family, The Free National Movement Woman’s Association, The Princess Margaret Hospital, South Beach Community Clinic, the Percentie Family, the Barry Family, the Roberts Family, the Knowles Family, Apostle David Butler and Family, World Outreach Christian Centre Ministries, St. Peter’s Baptist Evangelistic Church, The Bahamas Supply Agency (Jolly Rodgers), and the entire community of Harbour Island Family.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Pinder’s Funeral Home, Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and at the church from 10:00am until service time.
