A Funeral Service for Mrs. Joan M. Lightbourn, aged 92, of Montagu Foreshore, Nassau, The Bahamas will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk, Princes’ Street, Nassau, on Saturday, 18th October, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

Rev. Bryn MacPhail will officiate and interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens Cemetery, Soldier Road, Nassau.
Mrs. Lightbourn was born on 7th April, 1922, in Hong Kong to Walter and Annie Lightburn.
She was married on 16th June, 1945 to David Moon Lightbourn, son of Percy and May Lightbourn of Nassau, all now deceased.
She was also deceased by a brother-in-law, Richard Wightman and a sister-in-law, Leone Lightbourn.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Zuin and Elizabeth Gayle Cooke; three grandchildren, Jonathan David Brown, Anne Gayle Myers and Quinn Dietrich Myers; two sons-in-law, Lino Zuin and Timothy Cooke; one almost granddaughter-in-law, Shawna Tennyson; one brother-in-law, Ronald George Lightbourn; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Lightburn of Essex, England and Joan Bethel Lightbourn; nephews, Trevor Lightburn, David Lightburn and John Lightbourn; nieces, Sally Lightburn-Jones, Christine Waddell, Catherine Bancroft, Carla Cole and Julie Lightbourn-Black; god-children, Bruce Owens, Oliver Liddell and Catherine Bancroft.
Many, many loyal caregivers, including Dr. Agreta Eneas-Carey, Renee Roth, RN, Mila and Ona Villanueva, nurses Melinda Brown, Christine Green, Stephany Bowe, Rafael (Peter) Peters, Larrie Ferguson, Maria Mackey, Joanne Wilson and Sybil Allen. Also Valerie Passley, her housekeeper of 12 years and her faithful gardener of 27 years, Jean Robert Tumar.
A multitude of friends in Nassau and worldwide and members of The Nassau Lawn Tennis Club, Royal Nassau Sailing Club, Nassau Garden Club and the Bahamas Angling Club.
