Funeral Announcement
Last rites for Olive Sands Vernett aged 76 of Pinewood Gardens will be held on Saturday
At 11:00 A.M. at New Lively Hope Baptist Church, Jerome Ave and Chesapeake Road. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. A. Shelton Higgs assisted by Rev. James Pennerman and other Ministers of Religion. Interment in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
She is survived by her children and their Spouses: Torano and Sherronda Vernet, Garvin and Rina Vernet, Marrietta and Emmanuel Jean-Baptiste, Antoinette and Michael Curtis Jr.;
13 Grandchildren: Brian Vernet Jr., Denisca Vernet, Ryan(Jamie) Vernet, Vashti Verner, Torano Vernet Jr., Chance Saddler, Garvin Vernet Jr., Gabrielle Vernet, Kendon Dean, Sharell Miller, Shawn Sands, Patricia Curtis-Elliott, Willard Elliott and Michael Curtis III; 6 Great Grandchildren; 3 Sisters: Carolyn Sands, Myrtle Curry and Elizabeth Major; 3 Adopted Sisters: Evang. The Body will repose at Curtis Memorial Mortuary, Robinson Road and Fifth Street on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 5:30 P.M. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
