Funeral Service for Roland Anderson Burrows Sr., age 88 years of Tower Heights, Eastern Road, formerly of Roses’, Long Island, will be held at St. Frances Xavier Cathedral, West Hill Street on Friday April 17th, 2015 at 12:45 p.m. Officiating will be Fr. Noel Clarke assisted by Rev. Mr. Dennis Mackey. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters: Daphne Haines, Effie and Pamela Burrows; his sons: Perry and Roland Jr. (Andy) Burrows and Errol Haines; adopted children: Sybil Darville, John and William Taylor; grandchildren: Percephone Burrows and Safiya Evans, Seve and Tatum Williams, and Dmitri Haines; sisters: Remona Delaney, Mary Burrows-Neymour, and Annie Knowles; brother: Michael (Gus) Burrows; sisters-in-law: Gloria Burrows, Deloris Taylor and Beverley Cash; brothers-in-law: George Knowles and Frederick Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends including: the families of the late Roscoe, Wilfred, Oscar, Stella and Lucy Burrows, the Taylor family, the Hamilton family, the Darville family, the Turnquest family, the Ritchie family, the Pratt family, the Watson family, the Martinborough family, Nelerene Harding, Burdie Davis, Eulease (Chicky) Johnson, Andrea Korte, the Stuart and Brice family, The Men’s Club of St. Thomas More, The Brothers and Daughters of the Elks Family, the Long Island Association, Francois “Fonza”, Novlet Drummond, Pansy McKoy and Sharon Fernander.
