Funeral Service for Mr. Harold Leon “Toonka” Knowles age 92 years a resident of # 4 San Souci Road will be held on Friday, August 28th, 2015, 10:00 a.m., St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Parish, Virginia Street. Officiating will be The Right Reverend Gilbert Thompson, Suffragan Bishop, The Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands Assisted by: Rev’d. Fr. Shazzasbazzar Turnquest, Assistant Priest St. Mary, the Virgin, Anglican Church. Internment will be made at St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Parish Cemetery, Virginia Street.
Harold Knowles was predeceased by his wife Carmel Knowles, daughter Lorraine Hutchins and son Derek “Lee” Knowles.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his Three (3) Daughters: June Pratt, Schell Stubbs, and Minister Jill Ward; Two (2) Sons: Shai and Lamont Knowles; Three (3) Step-Children: Larry & Leslie Minns, Lourie Minns-Edgecombe; Three (3) Sons-In-Law: Rev. Dr. Philip Stubbs, Patrick Ward and William Pratt; Five (5) Grandsons: William and Wiljohn Pratt, Gyles Ward, Charles Hutchins, Lauren Woodside; Five (5) Granddaughters: Wilette Pratt, Lynsey Ward, Sienne, Shea, and Shandi Stubbs; Great Grand Daughter: Atiyah Pratt; Sister-In Law: Cynthia Archer; Four (4) Brothers-In-Law: Hasting Charlow, Eddie Archer (Brooklyn, New York) Anthony and John Archer; Numerous Nieces including: Miriam Hanna, Carla Lockhart, Sonia Pinder, Debbie Archer, Gianna Guillaume, Michelle Carey, and Audrey Bullard; Numerous nephews including: Shawn Pinder, Anton (Porky) Archer, Shane Pinder, Charles (Chucky) and Vaughn Albury; First Cousins & Families: Rev Hilda Allen, Jimmy Carey, Mary Moss, Donald and Ancel Knowles, Albert Carey, Marilyn Munroe, Beryle Moss, Lydia Rahming, Esse Ferguson, Celeste Lockhart, Kathlean McKenzie, and Margaret Thompson.
