Funeral Service for the Late Kirklyn Eugene Thurston, aged 70 years of #5 Jack Fish Drive & Bird Walk Close, Golden Gates II, will be held on Saturday August 29th, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Wulff & Baillou Hill Roads. Canon Basil Tynes assisted by Fr. Kerr will officiate. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums, John F. Kennedy Drive & Gladstone Road.
He was predeceased by his son Jacoby Thurston (2008)
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 46 years: Francina Thurston; three daughters: Michelle Roker, Lynn Thurston, and Crystal Glinton; one son: Eugene Thurston; daughter-in-law: Gertrude Thurston; nine granddaughters: Shanari Saunders, Cathyanna Thurston, Malaysia Cartwright, Tileiyah Johnson, Terrell Taylor, Darius, Jodi, Dillana, and Sherwonda; one grandson: Latori Thurston; five brothers: Anthony, Everette (of Freeport), Eugene and Andre Thurston and Percy Smith; eight sisters: Joyce Drakes, Valdamae and Dorothy Thurston, Cyprianna Henefield, Carol Brown, Janet McKenzie, Eleanor Thompson, Florence Johnson, and Eulene Johnson; five brothers-in-law: Edward and Cedric Roker, Wellington Henfield, Lawrence Brown,and Lorenzo McKenzie; two sisters-in-law: Annie and Chivan Roker; two uncles: Federick and Charles (of Jacksonville) Hamilton; three aunts: Ruth Marshall, Eureka Knowles (of San Salvador), and Marion Hutcheson; numerous nieces: Cheryl Isaacs, Cindy and Joy Drakes, Latoya Turnbull, Lavette and Latajh Henfield, Shanae Brown, Monique Butler, Shantell, Patricia and Keillie Thurston, Veronica Thompson, Chivarra (and spouse), Chamika (and spouse), Lola (and spouse), Raquel (and spouse), Gail (and spouse), Michelle, Tracy (and spouse), Jill (and spouse), and Lisa Smith; numerous nephews: Carlos and Keith Spencer, Toddd and Kurt Drakes (and spouse), Spencer Brown, Turan, David, Andrew, David and Daniel Thurston, Dwayne, James, and Pedro Thompson, Jeffrey, Nelson(and spouse), and Stuart; numerous cousins: Stephanie, Melany, Marcia, Joan, Rev. Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians, #43 Nassau Street, on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
