Funeral Service for Ivy Louise Roberts, age 103 years, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Nassau, Bahamas, will be held on Friday April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, Montrose Ave. Officiating will be the Venerable G. Kingsley Knowles assisted by Rev’d Fr. Scott Brennen. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Solider Road.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter: Coral Turnquest; son: L. Egbert Roberts (only surviving son); granddaughters: Elder Lana Sawyer (primary caregiver), Antoinette Roberts, Katrina, Karen Collier, Shantell, Tabitha Dowell, Marcia Roberts, Kym Scott, Janet Hanna, Kym, Nikon, Karen and Arania Roberts; grandsons: Stephen Turnquest, Troy Bethel, Tyrone, Anthony Sr., Kevin, Sheldon, Vaughn, Marcian, Quevie and Delbert Roberts; great-grandsons including: Captain Ron Simms, Prophet Douglas Cleare, DNeco Cleare (primary caregiver), Ramone, Steven, Alex, Dylan and Orian Turnquest, Troy Bethel Jr., Darius and Javon Johnson, Anthony Jr. Courtney, Jared and Jarell Roberts, Chris Bledsoe, Trenton and Parker Dowell, Justin Scott, Kaden and Tristan; great-granddaughters including: Monika, Ebony and Nevaeh Bethel, Maia Scott, Sarai, Kaitlyn, Sheldina, Cindy, Yelena Roberts and Anastacia; great great-grandsons including: Daquant Mather and Xavier Bethel; great great-granddaughters including: Latayja Rolle (caregiver); nephews: Rudolph Brown (North Carolina), Benjamin Brown (Miami, Fl.,) Rodney Roberts (Plantation Fl.), Ashbert, Tony, Terry, Locksley and Julian Brown, Rev. Wellington 'Butch', Derek, Pritchard and Brian Johnson, Philip Johnson and Lester Cash Nieces: Elaine, Lorna, Claudette, Rev. Naomi Taylor, Dena, Theresa, Garnell, Linda, Barbara Jean Benjamin (Miramar Fl.), Cynthia Anderson (Miami Gardens, Fl.), Wynona Thompson (Miramar Fl.), Beryl, Agatha Thompson, Helen and Agnes Cash; numerous grand nephews including: Lester Johnson III (Ft. Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers’ Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets, on Thursday April 21, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at the church on Friday April 22, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
