A funeral service for the late Mr. David Charles Collins, age 78, who died at his son’s residence on Winton Terrace, Nassau, The Bahamas, on Thursday, 8th December, 2016, will be held at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk, Princes Street, Nassau, on Saturday, 17th December, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Reverend Bryn MacPhail will officiate and interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens Cemetery, Soldier Road, Nassau.
David is predeceased by his first wife, Janice (nee Roberts); his brother, Clavell Collins, and sister, Bryl Collins.
David is survived by his second wife, Rena (nee Nunn); his sons, Gavin and Andrew; his daughters, Rebecca (Melendez) and Katherine; grandsons Harrison Collins and William Melendez; daughters-in-law, Carrie Collins and Connie Collins and son-in-law, Ricardo Melendez.
He is also survived by his sisters, Cleone Collins, Florabelle Cooper and Shirley Kemp; brother-in-law, Rhudy Roberts; sisters-in-law, Daisy Roberts, Paulette Sands, Denise Caulkins; Sister in Spirit, Astrid Stratton; his nephews and their families, Charles (Joanne) Kemp, Raymond (Beth) Collins, and Ken (Vicky) Collins, Bruce (Berdina) Sands, Jay (Samantha) Sands, Cory (Genevieve) Caulkins; nieces; Shirley Jeanne Kemp, Tina Gibson, Wanda (Eddie) Knowles, Fredricka (David) Hayling, Laurie (John) Kosobucki, Teresa (Darvin) Curry, Carmen (Donnie) Karvonen and devoted care giver, Lorraine Moncur.
There are many other family members and friends too numerous to mention, but the staff and management of Whim Automotive and Logos Bookstore have been a great source of encouragement.
The family is deeply indebted to the Assemblies of Bible Truth Hall, both in Nassau and Abaco, and the St Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk family who have shown amazing love, prayer and support for us during David’s illness.
