Funeral Service for Mary “Gal” Jones Russell age 73 of St. Charles Vincent Street and formerly of Fairfield, Crooked Island will be held on Saturday February 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.at Zion Baptist Church, East and Shirley Streets. Officiating will be Pastor T. G. Morrison, assisted by other Ministers. Interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery, Cowpen and Spikenard Roads.
She is survived by her Stepfather, Rev. Curtis L. Moss of Crooked Island; one aunt, Pearl Godfrey; sister-in-law, Ellen Jones; her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including: Marjorie Moss, Diann Forbes, Norma and Angela Delancy, Shelia and Sharmaine Stuart, Marilyn, Kayla, Kishna Lewis, Tina Manessa, Tonya, Rayshan, Andreshia, Don, Candy, Theresa, Kim, Ingrid and Ginay Jones, Shenicia and Claneece Williams, Enrica Fritzgerald, Chakira Smith, Deandra and Kimbella Sands and Brittney Goffe, Dorinda, Shenell, Beulah, Shekisha, Simon, Termarko, Kenvon, Keno, Delroy, Moses, Harold, Kemuel, Brian, Dario, R.J., Dominique, Reginald, Moses Sr. and Rochelle Moss, Elisha, Vernon, Dwight, Breman and Bradon Jones and Deangelo Sands; and numerous other relatives and friends including: her best friend, Barbara Knowles and Family, Nola Moss and Family, Patricia Smith and Family, Doswell Coakley and Family, Godfrey Adderley and Family, Wensel Moss and Family, Sarah Jones and Family, Frank Jones and Family, Evelyn Ferguson and Family, Marilyn Thompson and Family, Nellie Bain and Family, the Hon. Morrison and the Zion Baptist Church Family, the entire Jones, Sweeting, Bain, Williams, Scavella, Simms, Coakley, Duncombe, Russell, Butler and Albury Families, the Eastern Road Crew and the Nurses and Staff of Princess Margaret Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite of Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Ave. and Talbot Street on Friday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. to service time.
