Sybil Bernadette Carey Harris Wills, of Centreville, Nassau, The Bahamas, died Sunday, January 17th, 2016.
Born May 22nd, 1950 in Long Island, Bahamas. She attended St. Thomas More primary school, Xavier’s College and St. Augustine’s College before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota to attend St. Catherine’s College. Sybil, known as Bernadette or Nadette to her friends
and family, married and bore six children. She worked at a local Minnesotan bank before retiring and moving back to the Bahamas around 2002 to attend to her parents.
Nadette
loved her children, spending time with her sister, cooking, dancing, movies, music, and had the most contagious laugh.
She is survived by her children: Erin Elizabeth, Anne Bevin, Kathryn Phyllis, Lauren Bernadette, Robert Charles, and Alexander Harris; granddaughters: Estelle Bernadette and Sofia Mercedes; her siblings: Julie, Malcolm, James, Stephen, Denise, and Lorrain; as
well as countless family and friends from around the world. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
A funeral service for Sybil Bernadette Carey Harris, will be held at St. Thomas More Church, Madeira Street, Nassau, on Saturday, 23rd January, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
Reverend Father Junior Calixte will officiate.
