Funeral Service for Oswald Allan Johnson, age 89 years, of Danottage Estates, Nassau and The Bight, Cat Island, will be held on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, Montrose Avenue. Officiating will be the Venerable G. Kingsley Knowles assisted by Rev’d Fr. Scott Brennen and Rev’d Fr. Willish Johnson. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Left to cherish his memories are his six children: Ruthanne Johnson Greco of Brazil, Hugh Johnson, Glenda Johnson of Florida, William Johnson, Kym Outten, and Edward “Teddy” Johnson; seven grandchildren: Cameron Johnson, Yasmine, Giselle and Bradley Outten, Jessica Johnson Greco of Brazil, Tyler and Aiden Johnson; one great granddaughter: Kalia Sands; one daughter-in-law: Sherelle Johnson; one son-in-law: Athos Greco of Brazil; three sisters: Winnifred Ferguson, Doris Farah and Barbara Davis; six brothers: Garfield Johnson, Wendell Johnson, Hansel Johnson of Florida, Alfred Johnson of Cat Island, Edwin Johnson of California, and Philip Johnson; sisters-in-law: Priscilla, Thelma, Marilyn, Cora and Pam Johnson, Norma Johnson of Florida and Low Ann Johnson of California; brother-in-law: John Chea of Florida; one uncle: Cedric Wilson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends including: the Cat Island community, and the church family of St. George’s, Montrose Avenue.
There will be No Viewing at the Church.
Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers’ Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets, Friday July 22, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
