Funeral service for
Matriarch Virginia "Grammy" Taylor, 83
a resident of Elizabeth Estates & formerly of Port Howe, Cat Island, will be held at Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church, Prince Charles Drive, on Sunday 31st July, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Leonardo Rahming, Pastor Kent Price, Elder Ray Strachan, Elder Christopher Gayle, Elder Warren Farquharson, Elder Allan Smith & Elder Joseph Moore. Interment follows in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Left to cherish her fondest memories are her five daughters: Leanna Smith McPhee, Barbara Smith, Alice Rahming, Elizabeth Lizrene Rolle, and Helen Morrison; sixteen grandchildren: Superintendent Kirkwood Andrews RBPF, Shanell Williams, Deaconess Shanika Rolle, Vincent, Al (RBDF), and Marvis Rahming, Romeko Rolle, Rashad Thompson, Shantina Ferguson, Stephen and Stephanique Jones, Miguel Rolle, Deneshea and Deneka Rolle, Malik Burrows, and Joshua Sejour; sixteen great- grandchildren: Danielle Dames, Kirrice and K’yiesha Andrews, Daquan Smith, Quincy Reid Jr. Jaheem, Kennan, Liam, and Aleigh Rahming, Rashay and Ariah Thompson, Quincy Smith II, Romeka and Jayden Rolle, AzariaForbes and Daquan Miller and Brooklyn Rahming; brother: Minister Livingstone Sweeting; sister- in- laws: Merle, Monica, and Sheila Sweeting; sons-in –law: Maverick McPhee, Dennis Rolle and Robert Scott Morrison,granddaughters-in-law: Giselle Andrews, Anika Smith, Melissa and Michelle Rahming; numerous nieces and nephews including:Minister Bloneva Brown, Carmeta Jeanty, Deaconess Theresa Armbrister, Minister Eunice Rolle, Lisa, Porsha, Sabrina, and Shirnae Sweeting, Angela Glinton, Min. Keva Williams, Emmanuel and Min. Anthony Rolle,(Mia. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 9-5:00 p.m. on Saturday & on Sunday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
