Funeral Service for Mr. Arthur Livingston Sawyer, age 82 years, of #108 Behring Lane, Grand Bahama, and formerly of New Providence, will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2016, 3:00 p.m., at St. Anges Anglican Church, Baillou Hill Road. Officiating will be Rev’d Fr. I. Ranfurly Brown assisted by other members of the Clergy. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Nassau Street.
He is survived by wife: Eulalee Sawyer (nee Connolly); sons: Arthur, Michael, Raymond, Larry and Ashley Sawyer and André Thompson; daughters: Gladys and Diahann Sawyer and Anischka Greene; grandchildren: Tamica, Kevin, Rashad, Ravonne, Raquel, Artia, Arthur Jr, Thomas, Denicco, Rajanique, Shavon, Ashley Jr, Savannah, Shante, Moriah, Adrian, Samantha, Michael Jr, Anita, Rashed, and Delvano; 14 great-grandchildren; Brothers: Andrew and Robert Sawyer; sister: Shirley Burrows (nee Sawyer); daughters-in-law: Roshell and Jewel Sawyer; son-in-law: Ricco Penn; nephews: Wayne, Samuel, Kirkland and Robertino Sawyer; Mario, Avery and Owen Burrows; nieces: Janet, Dale, Pamela, Samantha, Judith and Andrea Sawyer; Roselyn Nottage, Shamara Burrows, Sophia Richardson, Robyn Roberts, Allison Garcia, Oinka Rolle and Donna Fisher; brothers-in-law: Basil Connolly, Basil Burrows and Luther Feguson; sisters-in-law: Antoinette, Effie, and Dame Joan Sawyer; Mary Ferguson, Lilly Ousley, and Iva Culmer; adopted children: Julian Knowles and Ettamae “Jeanie” Anderson; a host of relatives and friends including: Alrick “Doc” Armbrister and family, Eugene Toote and family, The Lamb family, Belle, Johnson family, Ida Sears and family, Doralyn Miller and family, Rosalyn and family, Norma Clarke and family, Olga Deveaux and family, Bering Lane family, Bain Town family, and others too numerous to mention.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Friday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday at Cedar Crest Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, from 1:30 a.m. until service time.
