Funeral service for Garnard Wolseley Lowell Burnside I, 92 yrs., a resident of Nassau East North & formerly of Clarence Town, Long Island, will be held at Church of GOD Auditorium, Joe Farrington Road, on Sunday, 4th September, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Bro. Lester Ferguson & Major Vernitta M. Hepburn, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will be at Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Garnard Wolseley Lowell Burnside I, born 8th August, 1924, died at Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, 24th August, 2016. His decedents include six children; Garnard Wolseley Lowell Burnside II (Michelle Burnsidenee Shavers), Timothy Burnside, Garvin Joseph Walton Burnside (Jestina Burnside nee Stuart), Hosea Nathan Enoch Burnside and Garnard Wolseley Lowell Burnside IV (Latisa Burnside), Bethenia Ghale J Burnside-Roberts (Brennett Vernal Roberts) and his wife Viola Davis-Burnside. Daughters; Brenda Johnson-Brennen, Vallis Johnson, Kiesha Curry, Adiesha Lightbourne-Cooper and sons: Dr. Herbert Orlander and Tito Johnson. Grand children; Gabrielle Danita Lynn Burnside-Maurice, Garnard Wolseley Lowell Burnside III, Garron Joseph Edward Burnside, Sylvia Rene Hall, Aaron Phillip Hall II, Alexander Akeem Whipple, Damien Lowell Edward Heastie, SPC Paul Nathaniel Johnson (US Army), Kristin Lynnette Johnson, Brenton Juwan Roberts, Brennett Vernal Roberts II, Timicka Burnside, Latera Burnside, Lisa Burnside, Timisha Burnside, Torae Burnside, Timothy Burnside Jr., Noah Burnside, Zyien Burnside, Savano Burnside, Garvin Joseph Walton Burnside II, Garreyn Arianna Burnside, Desirae Cooper (nee Stuart), Janae Rolle (nee Bullard), Kelson Stuart, Landen Burnside, Coy Knowles, Tara Johnson, Corey Brennen, Renika Polard, Adina Polard and Christopher Bain Jr.. Great grand children; Jasen Burnside, Khailah Burnside, Garron Burnside II, Madison Burnside, Alana Burnside, Malina Burnside, Christiana Whipple, Christopher Moultrie, Damien Heastie Jr., Dmya Heastie, D’Jamon Heastie, Divinity Heastie, David Heastie, Donovan Heastie, Paul Johnson III, Mackenzie Kerterz, Brinika Burrows, Brain Burrows, Isaiah Johnson, K’Leah Miller, Nataeo Green, Elijah Green, Nathan Thompson, Janii Cooper, Zyaire Cooper and Jaya-Marie Rolle. Nieces: Julia, Pam and Denisia Burnside and Nephews: Stanley Burnside, Wayman Burnside, Emerson, Clement and Nikio Orlander.
A memorial service will be held at The Salvation Army, Meadow Street, Grant’s Town, on Friday, 2nd September, 2016 at 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Evangelistic Group.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 9-5:00 p.m. on Saturday & on Sunday at the Auditorium from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
