Funeral Service for the late Rev’d. Dr. Peter Arthur Grist age 75 years of #8 Imperial Park will be held on Saturday December 9th, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, George Street. Officiating will be The Right Rev’d Laish Z. Boyd, The Most Rev’d Archbishop Drexel W. Gomez, The Right Rev’d Gilbert Thompson and other ministers of the clergy. Interment will follow in Eastern Cemetery, Shirley Street.
Fr. Grist was predeceased by his sisters:, Ruby and Grace Grist, Enid Algreen, Evangeline Forsythe, Remelda Johnson, Zenia Heastie and Judy Bethell and his brothers: Victor and William “Boo” Grist, Steve and Hugh Bethell.
He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his: wife: Julia Sarah Isabelle Grist(Sally); son: Peter William Grist; daughter: Dr. Mary Grist-Agubosim; granddaughter: Alexandria Grist; grandson: Joshua Grist and John Agubosim; sisters: Evangeline Minnis and Jackie Carey; brothers: Phillip Bethell; son–in-law: Dr. Samuel Agubosim; sister-in –laws: Gloria, Marion and Lorraine Bethell and Natalie Tuddles of New Jersey; brother-in-laws: Kenneth Carey, Wilfred Minnis Sr, Samuel Brennen and Roland Tuddles of New Jersey; numerous nieces and nephews including: Sonja and Stanton Chea, Diane Sepero, Maria Roberts, Joseph, Gail, Bryan, Chris, Kevin, Michael and Andrew Forsythe, Viola Knowles, Stephanie Heastie, Patrick Bailey, Michael, Cyril and Ivan Carey, Tammy Miller, Monique Edwards, Wifred Minnis Jr, Pernell Bethell (Niles), Phillip Bethell (Tony), Philippa Bethell, Charles Bethell, Andrew Bethell, Karen Bethell, Kenneth Bowe, Natasha Johnson, Patrick Neuman, Shantel McDonald, Valentino and Crystal Bethell, Sophie Higgs, Kenneth “Candy” & MaryAnn Hart, Earl “Chuck’ Basden, Samuel Brennen, Edison Basden, Winston Basden, David Basden, Sean Brennen, Fr. and Mrs. Scott Brennen, Terry Dames, Reginald and Jinelle Campbell, Dr. Shane Brennen, Paulette “Honey” Hepburn, Maria Basden; numerous cousins including: Clementina Butler, Victoria and Thelma Ferguson, Shelton Evans of Ft. The body of Rev’d Dr. Peter Arthur Grist will be repose at St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Church, Virginia Street on Friday December 8th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Hourly Vigil begins at 7:00 p.m. (celebrations of the Eucharist)
Public viewing continues between services.
There will be no viewing at the Cathedral.
