Nora Ethlyn Darville Cartwright, 96
of Major’s Subdivision, formerly of Deadman’s Cay, Long Island, who died on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Princess Margaret Hospital, will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Baillou Hill and Wulff Roads. Officiating will be Canon Basil Tynes assisted by Rev’d Fr. Donald Kerr and Rev’d Fr. Roderick Bain. Interment will follow in Ebenezer’s Church Cemetery, East Shirley Street.
Left to cherish her memories are her sisters: Louise Fox and Gretal Ford; sister-in-law: Edna Wells; nieces: Elizabeth Adderley, Mizpah Albury, Veronica Bassett, Selma Blair, Delores and Theresa Cartwright, Inez Cooper, Donna, Inell and Nellie Darville, Lillith Knowles, Karen Rolle, Andrea Rollins, Oris Stillings, Melanie Swaby, Virginia and Reginia Thompson, Lillian, Agatha and Verna Wells and Joy Whyms; nephews: Carlton and Claris Cartwright, Jerome and Larry Darville and Louis Thompson; numerous other relatives and friends including: Mary Burrows, Virgie Carroll, Allan and Beryl Cartwright, Madeline Thompson, Geneva Thornton, Emma Wells, the Adderley, Burrows, Carroll, Cartwright, Darville, King, Thompson, Watkins and Wells families, Lower Deadman’s Cay community, Dr. Munroe, Bishop Gilbert Thompson, Rev’d Fr. Joseph Mycklewhyte, Canon Basil Tynes, Rev’d Dr. Roland Hamilton, Rev’d Fr. Ronald Kerr, Rev’d Fr. Roderick Bain, the Venerable G. Kingsley Knowles, Rev. Angela Palacious and St. Barnabas church family.
Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers’ Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets, on (TODAY) Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at the church on Friday July 14, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
