Funeral Service For

Florida Clara Smith Butler, 93

a resident of Highbury Park, & formerly of

Dumfries, Cat Island, will be held at The

Remnant Tabernacle of Praise, Carmichael

Road, on Saturday, September

23rd, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will

be Pastor Melvin Grant, assisted by other

Ministers & Deacons. Interment follows in

Western Cemetery, Nassau Street.

Florida, Nan, Tade; Aunt Tade, will be

sadly missed by many including Two (2)

children: Beverley Russell and Maurice

Thompson. (Her son, Brendolph Butler Sr.

having predeceased her); Fourteen (14)

Grandchildren: Neil Russell (Rosalind), Krystal Rolle (Wallace),

Sanelisa Dean (Andrew), Aneuyron Russell (Shanique), Dr. Dawn

Russell Hermanns (Josef), Timothy Russell, Portia Seymour (Trevor),

Chitera Butler, Brendolph Butler Jr., Rhett Butler, Jeffrey Thompson,

Jamilla Thompson, Jeremy Thompson and Jonathon Thompson; Sixteen

(16) Great Grandchildren: Cydnee Russell, Caden Russell, Mark

Russell, Stephan Rolle (Crystal), Meghan Rolle, Michael Dean, Travis

Seymour, Mychal Seymour, Shaquel Seymour, Brendi Butler, Brenae

Butler, Jakalyn Butler, Rhameko Butler, Akeelah Butler, Devante

Butler, Kiara Butler; One (1) Great Grandchild: Jakalyn Seymour;

Three (3) Surviving Siblings: Sisters, Claudia and Rev. Elva Russell,

Brother, Kendly Smith; Sisters-in-Law: Lorraine, Edith, Virginia

and Jacqueline Smith; her beloved Sister-in-Law “Jackie” was also

a devoted and special friend with whom Florida spent many of her

days; Daughter-in-Law: Ms. Dorothy Butler; Nieces and Nephews:

Florida had numerous Nieces, Nephews, Grand Nieces and Grand

Nephews within her beloved “Smith Family” too many to mention

by name but who deserve special mention in this manner because

she undoubtedly dearly loved, cherished and appreciated each every

one of them; Other Relatives and Friends including: Justice

Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home,

Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the

church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
