Funeral Service for the late Bishop Esrum Lewis age 81 years of Sunderland Road, Stapledon Gardens will be held on Saturday April 28th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at William Johnson Auditorium, Joe Farrington Road. Officiating will be Bishop Moses Johnson assisted by other ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, John F. Kennedy Drive.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Loretta “Grace” Lewis; 10 children: Chief Petty Officer Derron Lewis, Andrew Lewis Sr. of Eleuthera, Antoinette Lewis-Deveaux, Rev’d Monique Lewis, Donavon Lewis, Dr. Terez Rolle, Tamica Lewis, Craig Lewis, Vanteria Cuff of Miami Florida, Lorenzo Lewis; 3 sons-in-law Raymond Rolle, Lawrence Cuff of Miami Florida, Ronald Deveaux; 2 daughters-in-law: Sonia Lewis of Eleuthera, Debra Lewis: 7 grandchildren Andrew Lewis Jr., Vanreko Lewis, Vanesha Lewis, Cleon Lewis, David Lewis, Javan Cuff of Miami Florida, Elisha Cuff of Miami Florida, Jeremiah Rolle; 3 great grandchildren: Talitha Lewis, Sorin Lewis, Imani Grace Lewis; 2 grandchildren–in-law: Shardon Lewis and Esther Lewis; 2 sisters: Deaconess Brenetta Evans and Deaconess Susanna Russell 2 brothers: Bishop John Lewis and Pastor Alphonso Lewis; 4 sisters-in-law: Triphenia Lewis, Icelyn Rolle, Elder Beverley Clarke, Elkina Johnson; 3 brothers –in-law: Ervin Johnson, Lionel Glinton, and Anthony Rolle; 7 adopted children; Charlton Evans, Karen Roberts, TJ Burrows, Alexo and Alonzo Saunders, Kendra Strachan, Gabby Whyll and Gerrard Saunders; numerous nieces and nephews including Roger Lewis, Juanita Denise Lewis-Johnson, Dr. Joanne Lewis-Simmons, Valderine Sweeting, Milton, Pastor Melvin, Joseph, John and Dr. Nigel Lewis, Dale Riley, Anginal Evans, Jackie and Jerry Russell, Nemiah Lewis, Maltese Lewis, Perline, Janet, Alrina McKinney, Roxanna Grant, Alfreda and Jeffrey Russell, Deborah Brinson of Pembroke Pines Florida, Theresa Minnis of Port St. Lucy, Lakeitha Munroe and Johnette Pinder of Freeport Grand Bahama, Leotha Bain, the other children of Willis, George, Benjamin, Alphonso, Carnetta Colebrooke, Brenetta Evans, and Florence Grant; Other Relatives and Friends include Shelia Johnson-Peters of Miami Florida, Renee Neilly of Miami Florida, Joel and Kirk Lewis, Valda Miller and a host of other relatives too numerous to call.
Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians #44 Nassau Street on Friday from 10am to 6pm. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
