Matriarch Ethel Sherman-Griffin age 82 of Lowe Sound, Andros will be held on Saturday June 23rd, 2018 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Native Baptist Cathedral, Meeting St. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Alonzo A. Hinsey Sr. Assisted by Pastor Philmore Russell. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial & Mausolem, Gladstone Road.
Left to cherish her memories are: Husband: George Griffin; 5 daughters: Cleo Griffin, Carolyn Deveaux (Kendal), Shelena Russell, Emily Levarity (Cisco) and Janamae Russell (predeceased). 2 sons: Lonnie Storr (Shandernell) and Renardo Griffin (Keah); 14 grandchildren: Melissa Grant (Edney); Shonell Griffin, Anecia Russell, Shenique Cooper (Angelino), Keisha Cleare (Denard), Kendal Jr. , Kennise and Westishia Deveaux, Claudia Johnson, Kirkwood, Shaniece, Clarissa and Terran Barr, Tamara Hinsey and Andysha Ferguson. 10 Greatgrands: Tatyanna, Azariah and Azariell Grant, Rishon Rolle, Rumari Griffin, Angelino Jr., Anthaio Cooper, Keishaun Rolle, Kristian Cleare, and Kaiden Deveaux. 1 Brother-in-law: Henry Storr; 22 nieces: Evelyn, Melvern, Luella, Vanrae, Barbran, Doreen, Precious, Petra, Shirleymae, Adeline, Christine, Ethlyn (Luis), Rose (Errol), Pearlene, Alene, Gloria, Vernimae, Idalene, Dorothy, Weehazel, Jamique and Sherry (Hugh). 12 nephews: Robert (Loreen), Roy Jr., Cecil, William Jr., Kensil, Wilfred, James (Mary), Frederick (Carolyn), Elvis (Shelly), David, Elcon and Raymond (Maxine). 5 Godchildren: Mahalia Bootle, Rhonda Russell, Dinetta Marshall, Coralee Fowler and Gaynell Robinson. The body will repose at Curtis Memorial Mortuary, on Friday, from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00PM, and at the church on Saturday from 9:00AM until service time.
