A memorial service for the late John David Russell Higgs, age 71, of Nassau, The Bahamas, passed into the Lord’s open embrace on Sunday, 28th October, 2018, will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, Trinity Place and Frederick Street, Nassau, on Saturday, 17th November, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Reverend William R. Higgs will officiate.
He was widowed by Gean Higgs (née Weech) and is survived by their two sons, Jason and Paul Higgs; beloved niece, Sarahann Lowe; daughters-in-law Deborah and Thezle Higgs; nephew-in-law Tony Lowe; two grand-daughters, Chyme and Kyana Higgs and goddaughter Anischa Oliver-Chong. He is survived by his older siblings; Phyllis Lowe, Vincent (and Shirley) Higgs and Peggy Pinder; siblings-in-law; Mavis Weech, Elsie Weech, Elaine (and Alfred) Sweeting, Eleanor Spindler, Agatha Howard, Jessie (and Allison) Underwood, Barbara (and Michael) Checkley, and Hank Weech. Numerous nieces and nephews; Maureen (and Gordon) Pinder, Linda Pinder, Julie Cates, Rick (and Joann) Lowe, Laurence (and Monica) Higgs, Susan (and Mark) Davies, Johnathan (and Judy) Higgs, Dennis (and Gail) Pinder, Derek (and Renee) Pinder, Lori (and Vince) Newbold, Tommy Sewell, Jimmy (and Shirley) Sewell, Donny (and Laurie) Sewell, Rick (and Bibi) Weech, Shelley (and Rick) Coleman, Alfie (and Kelly) Sweeting, Cynthia (and Ramy) Mahmoud, Robbie (and Tammy) Howard, Kim (and Dave) Eichner, Teresa (and Braven) Pinder, Racardo (and Melissa) Underwood. He is missed and loved by other family members and friends.
