a resident of Little Creek, South Andros, will be held at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Washington Street, on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bishop Gloria Ferguson, assisted by Rev. Roslyn Astwood.

Deaconess Theadora “Mother” Bevans, 91

a resident of Little Creek, South Andros, will be held at St. John’s Native Baptist Cathedral, Meeting Street, on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Officiating will be Bishop Carrington Pinder, assisted by Rev. Dr. Sabrina Pinder. Interment follows in St. Mark’s Baptist Church Cemetery, Romer Street, Fox Hill.

Precious memories will always remain in the hearts of her five daughters: Magnola Forbes, Elder Doreen (Theodore Sr.) Campbell, Vernell (Henry) Goodman of Philadelphia PA., Pauline Rolle and Maxine Miller. Three sons: Sterling, Rev. Livingstone Sr. (Hazel) and Eddison Bevans. Daughter-in-law: Deidre Bevans. Thirty-two Grandchildren: Donathan (Sandra), Sharine and Kevin Forbes, Sharon (Quincy) McKinney, Tiffany Johnson, Attorney Calpurnia Campbell, Registered Nurse Cyprianna (Samuel) Pedican, Assistant Superintendent of Police Theodore Jr. (Crystal) Campbell, Deno (Natalee) Campbell, Crystallaire (Leanido) King, Torreanno Brown, Leonardo (Nakeisha), Corporal 3085 Livingstone (Shameka) Bevans Jr., Corporal 3577 Lamar (Jayvonya) Bevans, Lamont Forbes, Dalston Lewis, Edroy and Stephanie Williamson, Allan Knowles Jr., Shyron Rolle, Valentino (Erica) Bevans, Glenford (Shantel) Bevans, Lester Higgs, Jahvon Miller, Najwa, Edijah Lyndrea, Akeila, Philander and Latorrie Bevans, Nadia (Eric) Jean and Lavanno Brown. Forty-eight Great grands and two Great-Great grands. Two adopted sons: Craig (Tiffany) Culmer and Thomas (Merilyn) Williams. Four adopted daughters: Caroline McKenzie, Bertha Johnson, Angela Knowles and Oralee Forbes. Three nieces: Elqueena Bastian, Mavis Decas and Deborah Murphy. Three nephews: Eardley Culmer, Robert Johnson and Lynden Duncombe. Other relatives and friends including: Roslyn ("Cousin Rose") Smith and family, Remelda Smith and family, Rev. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
