Veran Franklyn McKinney, 58
affectionately called “Cat”
of Strachan Street and Dunmore Avenue off Chippingham and formerly of Bannerman Town, Eleuthera will be held on Saturday, December 28th, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Zion Yamacraw Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Glendon E. Rolle assisted by Rev. Howard T. G. Smith and other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment follows at Old Trail Cemetery, Soldier Road.
Precious memories will continue to live in the hearts of his daughter: Paula Daman; grandson: Brandon Daman; three sisters: Eula Rolle, Barbara Mae Horton of Bannerman Town, Eleuthera and Glendine McKinney; three brothers: Sgt. Wellington McKinney of The Bahamas Department of Corrections, Hilton McKinney and Julian McKinney; one brother-in-law: Sir Felix Rolle; one uncle: Bishop Alfred Cooper (Edith Cooper); one aunt: Mildred McKinney (Prince McKinney); sixteen nephews including: Javon and Kenton Moultrie, Christopher Horton, Chauncey Rolle, Minister of Religion Felix Lancaster Rolle Jr., Latero Rolle of Toronto, Canada and Dante McKinney; seventeen nieces including: Patrina Horton, Shakeena Miller, Crystal Horton and Alexandra Mckinney; ten grandnieces and ten grandnephews; Other relatives and friends including: D.S Rolle, Ruth Williams, James Rolle, the family of George and Bert Mckinney, Patricia Moxey, Rosemary Musgrove, Antonio Rolle, the Ward family, the Chippingham Crew; the Miller Family, The Bullard Family, Charles Rolle and Family, Philip and Firstina McPhee; the Mckinney Family of South Eleuthera; James Delancey, Freddie and Larry Moultrie, John Pinder, and the Princess Cay Crew, the children of the late Lavinia Stuart, Annie Fox, Alsaida Curry, Charles Mckinney, Ellen Thurston, Margaret Rolle, Gladys Butler, Annie Taylor and Myrl Kemp.
Friends may pay their last respects at Newbold Brother’s Chapel on Palmetto Avenue and Acklins Street on Friday, December 27th from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, December 28th from 8:30 a.m. until service time.
Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to House of Paradise Mortuary.
