Funeral Service for Deaconess Eliza Jane Rodgers-Miller, age 88 years, a resident of #29 Bamboo Crest, Golden Gates I, and formerly of Deep Creek, South Andros, will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at Golden Gates Native Baptist Church, Lobster Avenue. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Alonzo A. Hinsey Sr., assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
She is survived by her Sons: Assistant Commissioner of Police (Ret.) Glenn Miller (Principal Nursing Officer Valerie Miller), Luther Miller, Cedric Miller (Nathalie) and Ambrose Miller (Viola); Daughters: Janet Miller-Cooper, Jacqueline Higgs (Derek), Joycelyn Minus (Glen), Carolyn Smith (Andrew) and Euthalie Miller; Adopted daughter: Maxine Storr; Caregiver: Ms. Chelseamine Williams. Grandsons: Llewelyn ( Nickra), Kwivan, Ryan and Brandon Miller, Avard Moncur, Elkanah Ja-Roy Cooper, Khayyam and Kristoff Minus, Derek and Jamiel Higgs, Jamaal, Jules, Oscar, Reno and Fred Miller, William Adderley (Natasha), Jamal Munnings and Jamal Mott. Granddaughters: Sade Wells (Deniro), Tenaj Cooper, Radesha Poitier, Ashley Miller, Destiny Delancy, Alexandrea Taylor (Ricardo), Deandrea Treco (Darren) , Ambrosine Holmes (Ernie), Shemona Johnson and Stacy Hanna; Great Grandchildren: Nickario Miller, Raven Miller, Britney, Jae’Linn Cooper, Zakharie Minus, Deniro Wells, Jr., DeShea Wells, Reneko Miller, Shantia Johnson, Chino Carter, Keanna Miller, Ricardo Jr., Anaiah, Skylar Taylor, Danielle Treco, Mia Holmes, Natalia, Onesha, Ashley, Bill and Brice Adderley; Sisters: Mae Ellen Pratt and Ruth Duncombe; Nephews: Roger, Charles and Derek Laing, Frederick, Sgt. 1574 Andrew and Cpl. 818 Wayne Rodgers, Steve, Dave and Daniel Pratt, Christopher and Kim Thompson, Daniel, David and Dion Rodgers, Douglas Duncombe, Clyde, Rev. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Friday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and at the church, on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
