LAY MINISTER CARLITA “COLETA” RICHARDSON FORBES affectionately called “Uncle Beau”, age 89 years of #18 Gilford Crescent, Mayfield Park, Freeport, Grand Bahama and formerly of Bambarra, Middle Caicos, Turks and Caicos Island died at the Rand Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Grand Bahama on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019.
He is survived by his sons: Roderick, Dwayne, Hayward Forbes, Charles Laing and Gevon Hall; daughters: Janice Deane and Nelda Forbes; adopted children: Valeria and Hugh Solomon; daughters-in-law: Petula and Jackie Forbes, Akira and Toyah; son-in-law: Ethon Deane; grandchildren: Laurika, Rashida, Ramika, Francheska, Chanah, Chavanna and Alexander Forbes, Ene, Jada and Erica Deane; great grandchildren: Rasheed, Shaheed, Shawnique, Shawn, Shiloh, Shakira, Rael, Touren and Hadassa; step grandchildren: Ian William, Bradston and Kerwin and Janae; adopted grandchildren: Kai and Kayden Smith; sister: Majorie Hall (Nassau); brother: Ortneil Forbes (Turks and Caicos Island); adopted brother: Rodney Forbes, Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews including: Joy Gardiner, Miriam Fuller, Marjorie Williams, Ruth and Tara Williams (Clearmont, Fla.), Altamease Munroe, Gwendolyn Hall, Sandra Fowler, Lorna, Norma and Ansliee Forbes, Lydia Cartwright, Evelyn Rolle, Debra Norville, Elaine, Curley, Evelyn, Esther, Christine, Virginia, Ann, Omese Lightbourne, Lawson Hall, Hillgrove and Emmanuel Lightbourne, Timothy and Stephen Dean, Anthony Robinson, Howard, Ossie, McLean, Trevor, Dee, Sonny and George Gardiner, Thomas, Carlos, Troy and Tyrone Williams (Clearmont, Fla.), David and Dewitt Hall; uncles: Ernest Forbes of Turks Island and Albert Forbes (USA); aunt: Jenny Forbes; sisters and brothers-in-law: Nathaniel, Wellyn, Franklyn, James, Sara and Marilyn Robinson, Deloris Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Forbes’ funeral service is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Community at Heart Tabernacle, Church of God of Prophecy, Coral Road, Freeport, Grand Bahama.
