Charles Richard Fernander, 87

of Lucaya Circle, Palmetto Village who died on February 24, 2019 will be held on (TODAY) Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anselm’s Roman Catholic Church, Bernard Road. Officiating will be Fr. Noel Clarke and Fr. Anselm Russell. Interment will follow in the Church’s Cemetery, Bernard Road.

Charles is survived by his three children, Charlene Anna-Maria (& husband, David Côté), Charlamae Louise, Charles Richard, Jr. (known as Dick & wife, Emba); seven grandchildren, Shannon, Logan, & Eden Hanna, Glenn Fernander, Desireé Nairn, Alecia Dean (Leonardo) and Quentin Fox; three great-granddaughters, Tyler,Tazmyn & D’Quay; two great-grandsons, Walter & Levi, his beloved sister, Ruth Knowles; six nieces, Barbara Ferguson, Patricia Knowles, Claudine Stubbs, Donna Hepburn, Marsha Adderley and Hilda Johnson; five nephews, Tyrone, Dion & Anthony Miller, Edmund & Terrence Knowles and their families; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Fawkes, Elizabeth Sweeting, Bernadine Brown and Thelma Fernandez, his loving caregiver, Rosalie White; and a host of family and friends including: the children of the late Ronald Jones, the family of the late Vernon Jones, the children of Gerlean and the late Edward Jones and of the late Clarena Hanna; the families of the late Irma, Garth & Edward Fernandez and Rosalie Bennett, Trevor Edgecombe & family, the family of the late Marianne Côté of Canada, Msgr. Viewing will be held on Thursday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. to service time.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Avenue and Talbot Street, Nassau, Bahamas.
