Funeral service for the late James Philip Strachan age 37 years of The Bluff, Cat Island who died on 21st February 2019, will be held on Sunday 24th March 2019 at 1:00 p.m., at Grant’s Town Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wellington Street. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Scavella, assisted by Pastor Craig Williams, Pastor Mark Ewing and Elder Michael McCoy. Interment will follow in Old Trail Cemetery. He is predeceased by his mother Annamae Strachan. Left to cherish his memories are: His Father: Paul Pratt; Adopted Mother: Rosa Munroe-Walkes; Sisters: Andrea and Shantell Strachan; Adopted Sisters: Nickera Strachan and Sonia Deveaux; Adopted Brothers: Demetrie Munroe, Khalfarah and Pryncze Walkes; Aunts: Helen and Sivlean Strachan, Marilyn Cleare, Sharon Newbold, Stacy Strachan, Cozetta Johnson, Patrice Pratt, Georgina Pratt and Rose Maria Smith; Uncles: Garth, Benjamin, Sammy, Calvin, Hartman and Glenroy Strachan, Lin Pratt, Vincent, Kemuel, Lyndon, Vernon, Hubert, Richard and Michael Pratt; Grandaunts: Virginia Walkine, Jenniemae Rolle and Madeline Pratt of Old Bight, Cat Island; Granduncles: Euthal Brown and Ray Strachan; Cousins: Helen Smith, Marina Pratt, Barbara Bain, George and Deloris Williams and Family, Juliette Sands, Tennille Minnis, Sivle Seymour, Raquel, Sonia, Shantie, Simone, Travette, Shanrika, Lil Mike, Trevor, Anthony, Malik, Laveta, Jackie Moxey, Lucille, Sama, Tonio, Alex, Sabrina Sturrup, Hartman Jr., Devon and “KJ”; Special Friends: Shanek, Roslyn, Kera, Germaine, Ikey, Emma, Tammy, Clifford Hepburn, Annie Morley, Peaches, Portia, Mrs. Marla, Nicky of Ida Street, The Bluff and Bennett’s Harbour Cat Island Communities; Other Relatives and Friends including: Living Faith Seventh Day Adventist Church Family, Grants Town Seventh Day Adventist Church Family, Accident & Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital, Edna Forbes, Elda, Teash, Teka, The Hanna Family, The Towne Hotel Family, The Cat Island Family and others too numerous to mention. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Newbold Brothers Funeral Chapel, Palmetto Avenue & Acklins Street off Market and East Streets on Saturday from 10:00 a.m., until 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday at the church from 12:00 noon until service time.
