Lady Ethel Esther Wood, 101, née Adderley, a resident of Churchill Avenue, Chippingham & formerly of Clarence Town, Long Island, will be held at Grants Town Wesley Methiodist Church, Grants Town on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. R. Culmer Culmer, assisted by Rev. Lester Ferguson. Interment follows in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
She is survived by her Grandchildren: Linda Wood-Stubbs, Dale & Edward Thompson, Angela Strachan, Bridgette & Tracy Cooper, Karen Tinker, Lavern, Lisa, Eurika, LaShanda & Shiketta; Adopted Brother & his wife: Rev. Stephen & Mrs. Dot Edgecombe; Nephews & Nieces: Adrin & Joyce Russell, Dr. Munir & Walia Rashad, Donna & Gershwin Blyden, Eric & Genevieve Russell, Linda Russell and Hanif & Anisah Abdul-haqq, Brenda Barry, Linda & Gregory Gale, Wendel & Andrea Major and Gordon Major.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday & on Thursday at the church from 8:45 a.m. until service time.
