Sydney French, 87, of Village Green, Nassau, The Bahamas died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ivy French and daughters
Maureen French, Patricia French and her partner Bruce Ost; former son-in-law Derek Burrows; sisters-in-law Margaret French; Evelyn Thring and her husband Jim of Ontario, Canada and cousin Norma Lightbourn.

He was Uncle Sydney to nieces Linda Sauer, Victoria Roberts and Eileen French; nephew N. James French III and his wife Janet, and nephew-in-law Edward Newbold.

Great Uncle to Melissa Fox and her husband Trevor, Allister Sands and his wife DeAnna; Adele Robson and her husband Bobby; Stefan Newbold and his wife Glenda; Darren Roberts and his wife Ashley, Michelle Stevenson and her husband Patrick, Joanna Lowe and her husband Simon, and Jamie French.

Sydney is also survived by 14 great and great grand nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn, Jenna and Evan Fox; Lucaya and Alexis Sands; Cecily and Cynara Robson; Alaina and A.J. Newbold; Sofia and Saria Roberts; Connor and
William Stevenson; and Amelia Lowe.

He is predeceased by his granddaughter Sydney Lily Burrows, parents
Nathaniel James French Sr. and Gwendoline French, his brother N. James French Jr., sisters Gwendoline French and Agnes Evans and her husband George; nieces Donna Evans and Joan Newbold, nephew-in-law Harald
Sauer and a host of great friends.

He was lovingly cared for day in and day out by his earth angels Marjorie McKenzie, Joy Albury, Caren Cummings, Nurse Juliette Nairn (Angels Elite Nursing Service), Dr. Ian Kelly, Dr. Indira Grimes, Dr. Charles Rahming, Dr. Kevin Moss, Dr. Robin Roberts and Physiotherapist Felicia Adderley.

A private interment will be held at Christ Church Cathedral Garden of
Remembrance.
