Funeral Service for Ms. Jennie Iris Johnson, age 69 years, a resident of Doubloon Drive, Carmichael Road, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 11th, 2020, at Golden Gates Native Baptist Church, Lobster Avenue, Golden Gates I. Officiating will be Revd. Alonzo Hinsey, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery, Cowpen and Spikenard Roads.
She is survived by her Sister: Mary Armstrong (Irving White); Brother-in-law: Julius Chisolm; Nieces: Mordell “Donna” Bethel, Nichelle Bethel (Philip), Lisa Chisolm, Gia Chisolm, Dr. Terlika Chisolm-Smith (Ira), Sandra Johnson (pre- deceased), Michelle Johnson and Theresa Armstrong; Nephews: Johnny Johnson (Joyce) & Javonne Chisolm (Geletha); Adoptive Nephew: Donald Forbes; Grandnieces: Jasmine Bethel, Shiloh Smith, Marie Lewis, Jania Warwick, Diamond Armstrong and Markaya Wright; Grandnephews: Kiko Bethel (Victoria), Rudi Bethel (Keva), Ryan Bethel, Jayden Bethel, Joshua, Javonne Chisolm, Chase Smith, Timothy Lewis, Kristoff Thompson & Johnny Johnson III (deceased); Great grandnephews: Gerald Gordon, Christopher, Jayden, Quinton, Harlie, Justice & Johnnie, Joshua Johnson & Jacob Myers; Great grandnieces: Aniyah, Zara, Zoe, Lynnia & Mataya Bethel, Kaliyah Gordon, Dahmani McBride, Lakesha Johnson, Kyshonna, & Donisha Forbes; Other relatives and friends including: Orville Mott, Debbie Flowers, Silbert Evans, Kenatha Huyler, Jestina Kerr & Family, Veronica Minnis, Shirlene O’BrianRolle, Bridgette Rahming, the staff and patients of the Kidney Center, Golden Gates Native Church Family, the staff of A & A Comfort Care and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m., until service time.
