A funeral service for the late Leon Augustus Cartwright, age 89 of Treasure Cove, Nassau, The Bahamas, who died at his residence, on Monday, 23rd December, 2019, will be held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Shirley and Church Streets, Nassau, on Wednesday, 15th January, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
Reverend Father Crosley N. Walkine will officiate and interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Shirley and Church Streets, Nassau.
Mr. Cartwright is predeceased by his wife, Louisa Cartwright and their daughter, Kathy-Ann Marie Gomez.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew and Stephen Cartwright and daughter, Arlene Thronebury; daughters-in-law, Laurie and Rhoda Cartwright; sons-in-law, Ronald Thronebury and Carlos Gomez; sisters, Angela Treco and Maitland Jones; sister-in-law, Violet Knowles; grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathan Thronebury, Tara Love, Alexis Minnis, Lauren Eldon, Kelly Lambrigger, Ryan and Nathan Cartwright, Isabella and Daniella Gomez; granddaughters-in-law, Amy and Eirene Thronebury, Christine Cartwright and soon to be Casey Smith-Cartwright; grandsons-in-law, Brian Love, Glen Minnis, Christopher Eldon and Renato Lambrigger; great grandchildren, William and Sophie Thronebury, Stella and Calliope Thronebury, Asher, Reuven, Gabriel, Eden and Shiloh Minnis and Charlie and Landon Eldon, Quinn Lambrigger and Chloe Cartwright and many other relatives and close friends including Patrick Turnquest, Burton (Chucky) and Norma Knowles nieces and nephews and St. Matthew's Church Family.
A special thanks to the caregivers, Edison Dela Cruz, Noli Nocom, Dr. Margo Munroe and Nurse Wring and her nursing staff.
