Athletes get set for BAAA Nationals, final trials for Worlds
WITH the IAAF World Championships in Athletics looming over the horizon, about seven athletes, including Michael Mathieu and Shaunae Miller who double up in the 200 and 400 metres and Sheniqua ‘Q’ Ferguson, who has a double dip in the 100 and 200m, have already attained the A qualifying standards so far this year.
Miller, Gibson break national records
HURDLER Jeffery Gibson and quarter-miler Shaunae Miller produced national records and ran under the A qualifying times for the IAAF World Championships with two of the four All-American performances to lead the seven-man Bahamian contingent at the NCAA Championships this weekend.
Shaunae Miller wins gold in 200m at Spec Towns track meet
TWO days before she celebrated her 19th birthday, Shaunae Miller sped to the fastest time this year under all conditions to win the women’s 200 metres at the Spec Towns Track Meet in Athens, Georgia.
