Cassie the sea lion visited the third tee, where golfer Rebecca Lee-Bentham, of Canada, was set to play, in the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, which started yesterday and runs until Sunday at the Ocean Club Golf Course. Admission is free for spectators and general shuttle parking is available on Paradise Island. See page today’s Sports section.

ROOKIE professional Lydia Ko, who won the Canadian Women’s Open as a 16-year-old amateur last August, shot a 5-under-par 68 Thursday to share the first-round lead with Meena Lee at the season-opening Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.
