A religious service to mark the opening of the 2016 Legal Year in the Northern Bahamas took place on Friday at the Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King Parish, Freeport. The service was conduced by the Venerable Harry Bain, Rector and Archdeacon of the Northern Bahamas (centre), and attracted a large number of Justices, Magistrates and Members of the Bahamas Bar Association, including Attorney General Allyson Maynard Gibson (left) and Chief Justice Sir Hartman Longley (right). Archdeacon tells members of the judiciary 'legal system is broken'
IN A hard-hitting sermon, Archdeacon Harry Bain told members of the judiciary and the legal profession at a special service to mark the opening of the legal year in Grand Bahama on Friday that “the legal system is broken” and “spiralling out of control”.
