A RAFT of senior Royal Bahamas Police Force promotions have been announced to take effect from January 1, 2017.
Following the promotions of former Senior Assistant Commissioners Anthony Ferguson and Emrick Seymour to the rank of Deputy Commissioner at the weekend, Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade on Wednesday announced a slate of further appointments, the most senior of which was Assistant Commissioner Stephen Dean’s promotion to Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Commissioner Greenslade also confirmed the promotions of 10 Chief Superintendents to Assistant Commissioners of Police and 20 Superintendents to Chief Superintendents.
The newly-appointed Assistant Commissioners are Clarence Reckley, Theophilus Cunningham, Clayton Fernander, Ismella Davis-Delancey, Samuel Butler, Kendal Strachan, Ashton Greenslade, Paul Rolle, Elburt Ferguson and Leamond Deleveaux.
The newly promoted Chief Superintendents are Bruce Arnett, Bernard Bonamy Jr, Patrona Bethel, Solomon Cash, Zhivago Dames, Dellareece Ferguson, Maxine Leary-Rolle, Kevin Mortimer, Carole Gabrielle Pratt, Wendell Smith, Kirkwood Andrews, Derek Burrows, Perry Clarke, Walter Evans, Mario Johnson, Telinda Missick, Linda Moxey, Craig Stubbs, Dennis Sturrup and Loretta Mackey

Greenslade dismisses political ploy claims over police officer promotions
COMMISSIONER of Police Ellison Greenslade yesterday dismissed “stupid” speculation that recently promoted officers in the Royal Bahamas Police Force were given their new posts on the eve of the election as part of a political ploy.
