A DEFENCE attorney in the criminal trial of Adrian Gibson and others yesterday accused Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) General Manager Robert Deal of “being a criminal” and suggested that he had turned a blind eye to an alleged conflict of interest involving a landscaping contract awarded to the daughter of former WSC chairman Sylvanus Petty.
WSC general manager denies grudge as trial resumes
THE general manager of the Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) denied on Friday that he harbours a grudge against his predecessor, Elwood Donaldson Jr, and Long Island MP Adrian Gibson as their criminal trial resumed.
Tanks being built to tackle water problems in Eleuthera
WATER and Sewerage Corporation officials confirmed yesterday that construction of two tanks with 200,000 gallons of water per day capacity is underway in Eleuthera and will be completed by the end of February to improve the water supply on the island.
