How someone feels is very important to me. Obviously there are still problems with racism that I don't see. The hurt can be heard in this column, and I'm sorry for what they are still experiencing. I just want to say America has changed a lot in the last thirty years. The number of people that don't see color far outweighs the people who do. I am employed by the public school system, and with students it's always about being cool. The last fifteen years I have worked with Kindergarten thru 12th grade, and I just don't see our kids judging their piers by the color of there skin anymore. Of course I'm sure there are some people stuck in the past with this ignorance. I just wanted to share all American's aren't like this. I was lucky I was raised by parents that never allowed me to disrespect anyone, certainly not for their color. Love one another, what a world it would be. Lisa
