How could it not? With government clearly overstepping their bounds and interfering in the negotiation process, then insisting on liquidation, how can any foreign company consider investing in the Bahamas ever again. Once again, the PLP is stupidly demonstrating their anti-foreign stance. There is a very dangerous precedent being set here -- one we are unlikely going to ever get credibility and integrity back on the table.

By the way, is there any truth to reports that the American FBI is in Nassau investigating the Baha Mar fiasco with a focus on the China State Construction Company? If so, the plot just got even more interesting.

If we don't have hard currency invested or spent by tourists here then we have to borrow it from someone who has it. If our credit rating is cut to junk ( very likely now ) only loan sharks will be willing to loan it to us. Even the Chinese will be Leary of lending this government any money.

I would guess both !!! I don't think PLP's read the Tribune - Maybe they can't read. I don't think DNA people read it either which is a great pity.

Fweddy says that investors will flock to The Bahamas. Desperation breeds stupidity! Time to vote the PLP out, once and for all, they have done enough damage.

I still don't understand how they're STILL the government 'in charge'!

I am an outsider and I can tell you I would never invest a penny in the Bahamas after reading the daily newspaper, the old saying is true for me and my friends here in the states,.......Bahamas, it's a nice place to visit (in a gated and guarded resort) but I wouldn't want to live there.
