How refreshing to hear some truths about this State Owned Enterprise. Government interference by elected officials has ensured that this entity has cost we, the Bahamian tax payers, millions of dollars. The people who benefited were perhaps those famous friends, cronies, and relatives.

Yes, blame it on the rain, who wants to pay hundreds of dollars to travel to a tropical island and not be allowed to swim or enjoy the beach, that makes no cents and brings no dollars.

The so called Convention Treaty is nonsense. The European Union has banned flights form the Bahamas. The US banned flights from the UK and Chine in the early stages of the virus. So that talking point about reversing who we ban because of the Convention is no so.l It was reversed no doubt because of pressure from the US government.

So, did he tender his resignation? Precedent was set with Sands......... Of course, being we have a singular "competent" authority perhaps the buck aught to stop there? Or maybe it will be three strikes and he is out?

"there is the option to always appeal to the competent authority for an exemption if you feel that the case is compelling and he (the prime minister) can consider it."

Working Bahamians as a group need to write a letter of appeal for an exemption to the 7PM curfew on the grounds of protecting mental health. Thats a part of immune systems strength as well, probably the most important part.Either lock everything down or push this unreasonable curfew to 9PM.

It's too much apologizing going on. All because they don't know how to handle public administration. And there's an easy solution, move out the way, get the politics out of it, admit you dont know, let the people who know, who are experienced whether they FNM, PLP, DNA or if Dr Minnis have a grudge against them, assist. Wells should never have taken the portfolio, not when Dr Sands sitting right there. Cabinet should have spoken up. Again that's not to say Dr Sands did or will do everything right but he's a better pick, available and willing. This isnt the petty shop. People could die. Don't be here in the next 2 weeks apologizing for letting people die because you made another mistake

Dr Dahl Reghis got out right in time.

Wisdom4 4 years, 3 months ago on ALICIA WALLACE: Can we have some clarity please AFTER the press conference headlines

So, much uncertainty. Nothing is clear. All these lock downs are not necessary.

This virus is not going away anytime soon. Until then, we need to jump start the economy and let the Bahamian people live with caution. Giving people the freedom of choice.

You cannot keep on having these lock downs and restriction without clarity for the Bahamian people. Sadly, to say people livelihood is being taken away from them.

Good job! Finally a positive action, amazingly difficult to coordinate I am sure. Those responsible are to be commended for their efforts and achievement.

Uh ... OK ... so if that’s true, why did they dial up their butt-buddy Neil Hartnell to write a lonnnng, stirring defense in the newspaper? And why didn’t good ol’ Neil bother to get any comment from the other side? Hmmmm.

“Methinks he doth protest too much ...” or, if more Shakespeare is required, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.”

This “Conch Saga” is not only an environmental disaster, but an embarrassing and striking example of just how sad ... and bad the state of this Country really is when the “D” Average can not even simply accept that there is no current market for “live” Conch due to a World Health Crisis, but instead choose to take no action to mitigate their situation, preferring to cry financial hardship (as if they should be exempt from World Financial Impact), whilst at the same time watching the Conch die ... indeed, “D” Average is too kind, as it implies being simply “Dump” and this is beyond that wen you bear in mind these unused and dying Conch could be released to replenish the Fished Out Waters around New Providence, but alas that would require connecting 2 Dots ... Lord help this Country ... indeed the confirmation of our dismal state will be when Government proposes compensating these Conchers’ for their stupidity and environmental awareness!

There is no logic, moncurcool.... There has been no logic since the start of this fabricated pandemic and the rolling out of dictatorial rules that don't seem to want to quit. COME ON PEOPLE!!! We are living under the control of a tyrannical despot who won't quit until the Bahamas is no more. His so-called team members appear to be a lot of ineffectual, brainless puppets.

Will the. Government Offices be OPEN and STAFFED from 7 AM to 5 PM MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY? This man surely has no idea of the chaos and hardship he is causing the very people he claims to care about. Or he knows and simply does not care. Either way, he is unfit for Public Office. As stillwaters says, the people need to look after themselves. Eliminating obesity and other diseases from unhealthy diet and constant stuffing of the face should be at the top of the list, not these stupid, counter-productive lockdowns. Minnis is like a man possessed. North Pole or South Pole, either would work, but then what would he do to Christmas if banished to the North?😂🤣😂
