Are our daughters safe walking the streets?
Dr Bennet wrote he sat and witness this harassment and aggressive behavior upon innocent women not once but a second or third time in many weeks which included a school girl who in his opinion was forced into a car. in his own words Dr Bennet said he SAT, WATCHED and HEARD part of each conversation and did absolutely nothing. He was intrigued, and he thought what if this was his daughter? This sadden me Dr. Bennet
YES! Dr. Bennet she is your daughter as well as the entire country's daughter! while you sit and reflect consider this.. what if the young school girl never made it to school and was brutally molested and murdered and tribune was posting funeral arrangements instead of your flowing eloquent words of reflection and blame placement? What if the young woman who was walking was totally afraid and was hoping and praying as she walked somebody would have gotten out of their car and made the fein of a male stop, she was hoping as she walked and tears from fear rolled from her eyes in broad daylight she would make it safe to her destination. she was praying someone would be bold enough to call the police as a witness to a sexual harassment. (write the tag number and description of the car better yet take a picture with your cell phone)
Yes! Dr Bennet the next time you sit and watch the headline news or read the local newspaper God forbid about sexual attack or even worse on our Daughters and Sons you ought to get out of your comfortable chair, drop to the floor on your knees and thank God you did not witness or overhear that conversation of sexual harassment and did ABSOULETELY NOTHING but waited in your car along with all those behind you blowing as usual loud horns in the wind as you have just done with your article.
Yes! Dr Bennet I (Diane Lewis) am saying and telling you, we have the right as fellow Countrymen, our Brothers Keeper, Sisters and Brothers and ALL God's children to simply insinuate ourselves when we see these and any type of harassment taking place.

Ok so the spirit led me back to this page.
here's a suggestion, it may be as simple as it appears but it is a matter of taking Urban Renewal to level 4.0:
When you pass through Bain and Grants Town and Nassau Village and parts of Englerston do you know persons are not protected from the elements? They have households with babies and small children and when it rains as much water comes into the home as pours outside. Why don't the government get a team together and do an assessment of these homes and undertake and effort to get all leaking or collapsing roofs repaired? Hire the unemployed in the area to do the work and seek donations for the material and government may need to supply some of it. Some residents may be able to supply their own material and have government pay for the labor to get their roofs repaired. Then take the program to the family islands, Eight Mile Rock and West End n Grand Bahama, Deep Creek and a number of southern settlements in Eleuthera, then to Cat Island and so on. Some homeowners may be able to enter into low interest or interest free loans to purchase materials for their repairs even.

We could shut down the government. That would be a blessed day.
