Cobalt 7 years, 11 months ago on PM: Baha Mar will begin to open in second quarter of 2017

I can't believe that Bahamians actually give credibility to anything that comes out of this man's mouth! For God's sake, y'all wake up!! Every time that Perry Christie opens his mouth nothing but hot fart comes out! He's a airbagger! This is the same man who said that he wouldn't be seeking reelection after this current term in office, yet here he is. This is the same man who promised a Bahamas for Bahamians, yet our country is now being controlled by China. This is the same man who promised that things will be "dead good" soon, yet middle class Bahamians continue to lose their jobs and homes. False promises after false promises, after false reassurances, after failer, after failer! That's his mode of operation and that's his legacy. Nothing will change.

Clambering to open bahamar at this juncture is nothing more than an act of desperation and a political stunt to try and influence the electorate in the upcoming general elections. Sorry Perry, but your empty talks are nothing more than an exercise in futility! Sensible Bahamians aren't buying your brand!

John 8 years ago on Baha Mar ‘purchaser’ leaves Sarkis in cold

Seems that Izmirilians legal team has fallen asleep or they are waiting to strategically play their trump card (no pun intended). But the developments over the past few months and even weeks confirms that Zarkis being kicked out of Bah Mar was no accident. It was an evilly devised and well orchestrated plan. Can you name one foreign direct investment project in which the government was so intimately involved? Christie is in bed with the Chinese and the more he denies it, the more the truth manifests itself.

"however he lives in Amsterdam where he is a citizen"

The knowledge deficit is yours. It clearly says he is a citizen of The Netherlands, unless your hatred for Chinese people makes you believe Amsterdam is in China. See my post below

It says he's a native of China but has citizenship elsewhere which means he has to see assistance from The Dutch (Amersterdam) not China. I am a Bahamian native with British Citizenship. if I get in trouble outside The UK, I'd have to seek out a British Embassy, not a Bahamas High Commission.

@tribanon, the article states that the man is european; moreover, what does that have to do with the price of tea in china? what he and his family endured was criminal. no wonder your country is becoming more and more isolated!

I totally agree with the victim. The way we treat people here is diporable, government agencies are the worst when it comes to this. Someone should be made to pay for the way these people were treated, because regardless what you may think about foreign nationals, you would not want to be treated like this in another mans country.
