If divisive means that someone actually has the guts to disagree with the PLP, then I stand guilty as well. If destructive means that someone has the courage to expose the truth which differs from that being purported by the PLP, again I am guilty as charged. If ignorance means blindly following every word being fed to me by politicians, for that Sir, I am a fugitive. Mr. Rollins has neither earned nor deserved his position in the hallowed halls of the House of Assembly. He entered on the coat tail of a political party that he only a year ago vehemently spoke against. I read no anger, division or destruction in the editorial - just straight facts. It is the facts that hurt DPratt and it is facts that create the hallmark of true journalism.

I agree like and approve of this article. Which by the way is in the Editorial section.

Kuddoes to the editor for standing her ground. An editorial is indeed a matter of opinion and EVERYONE has the right to their opinion - YES, even with the PLP in power - We are now a free Bahamas as of 1992 ... thank you honourable Hubert Ingraham ... and thank God we will NEVER go back to the dictatorship days of the PLP. Well written editorial, Dr. Rollins was just absent on that day of his English Language class - we must try to fogive his ignorance. Dr. Rollins, here's a link to a simplistic definition: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/editor…

Crime is a Bahamian problem..we need to find out why we been breeding criminals since the early 1980's. Cant wait till these persons reach 17, 18 and start robbing and killing to fix the problem...too many radio stations spewing garbage 24/7...no food for the soul.. add to that the internet and the drug and the gun culture...No Parental control..the problem is too big for the police to handle too many dead bodies..too many lives being snuffed out.....Where is GOD in all of this? " If my people who are called by my name shall HUMBLE themselves and PRAY..then shal I hear from heaven and heal their land"...Hubert tried to fix it and Perry may try but there is someone who CAN fix it.. National Day of prayer... call on the churches to anoint all the school children and drive the demons of destruction from this land ..John 3:16

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! In the FNM "we believe in teaching a man to fish, rather than giving him handouts and keeping him poor, dumb and ignorant"!!!!!! AMEN, AMEN AMEN!!!!!

And we must keep this flame alive, just remember FNM's that the margins were close and almost 15,000 of us stayed at home. Keep that fire burning and let PLP's know that we are NOT SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We cannot allow ignorance to run AND inevitably RUIN such a beautiful country.

THE STATE OF THE COUNTRY IS BLEAK WITH THIS GOVERNMENT IN POWER.

INCREASINGLY THE FACADE OF COMPETENCE PRESENTED IN THE PLP CAMPAIN RHETORIC IS NOW CRUMBLING IN TO THE REALITY THAT THEY ARE TRULY INEPT AT RUNNING THIS COUNTRY.

DR. NOTTAGE IS YET TO OUTLINE A CONCRETE PLAN TO ADDRESS CRIME IN THE COUNTRY......ALL THEY OFFER ARE MEANINGLESS SLOGANS....OPERATION THIS AND OPERATION THAT........ COMPLETE BUFFOONERY.

NOW DR. NOTTAGE'S FIRST CONCRETE PLAN AGAINST CRIME......REPEAL THE LAWS THAT KEEP CRIMINALS INCARCERATED........AS HE RESPONDS TO HIS CONSTITUENTS WHO THEMSELVES CONSTITUTE A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE CRIMINAL POPULATION.

Dr. Nottage seems more concerned about those criminals in prison than serenity on the streets of New Providence. When he and the other MP's go to their luxury homes, there are some of us who live in these areas where gunshots can be heard at all hours of the night. Young men through every corner selling and smoking drugs. These men don't want to work and are more comfortable committing crimes. I live in a real world but Dr. Nottage obviously doesn't. It's better for them to live like sardines than for decent people to suffer from their criminal acts.

I don't see TalRussel weighing in on this one - he/she so busy worrying about whether HAI is coming back - he/she's on those other stories commenting on issues he/she has no knowledge about - why isn't he/she commenting on about how the PLP is getting set to deliver this country straight into the pits of hell?

Ronton and 242 - I think yall missed it with the compassion and humanity characterization of Uncle Nottage - its simpler than that - its the PLP way, pander to the ignorance, turn the whole country into a ghetto and then all the grass roots will continue to vote PLP because they love slackness and they are at home wallowing in the crime infested mud - so to have the ENTIRE country in that state is just PERFECT for the PLP and their agenda to stuff their pockets while they give the grass roots masses $500 per vote.

See, whenever, we remove party politics from the forefront, what remains are The ISSUES. We can solve this CRIME problem within 6 months. Part of governance includes the citizens lobbying on their OWN behalf.

Dr. Rahming's comments are not becoming of a man in his position. Should these men who have be charged with serious offences be among the Bahamian community to continue in doing what put them there in the first place. Even though they have not been convicted we have seen men with the ankle monitors have their bails revoked for various infractions which include committing crimes. Let us be humane to them while they kill, rob and steal from peaceful, law abiding citizens. It makes sense for them to be comfortable than for serenity to reign in our society. Get real Dr. Rahming, if you blame Mr. Ingraham and the FNM then blame them for trying to make society a safer place for all Bahamians. We must remember the words of Malcolm X which is so appropriate, "You're not to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong no matter you says it or does it." Dr. Rahming you and the Minister better think of the masses as oppose to the minority.

I guess this is in retaliation to when Hubert Ingraham said he got reports of plps putting money in T-Shirts. Why are the plps spending so much time trying to convince the people that the plp was the right choice. They are already in. Yes, more people voted against them. But why are they trying to convince the non supporters. Your people got you in and that is all you needed.
