Transgender plea for rights
This is very interesting. I applaud these transgender women for speaking up and publicly for themselves and their human rights. That is a brave thing to do in this country. I will be voting yes across the board on June 7 and while specifically transgendered people are not covered by these bills, their presence and voice suggests that the country needs to grow up and stop the hypocrisy. Protect the human rights of all.

Hmm..I don't support their lifestyle but I don't think they should be picked on, beaten up or denigrated. They are people. On the other hand I believe they should be sensible and act appropriately in whichever environment they find themselves. Everyone else does it, no one with sense starts whining down in church for example.

Brent Symonette: I would have voted for Donald Trump
My respect for Brent just went down the tubes. What a dickwad! As for the Pussy-Grabber-in-Chief, Donald Trump, he is a sexual predator, a serial liar, and a narcissist with a Grade 4 vocabulary. And Brent would have voted for him? Says a lot about Brent's moral compass.

EDITORIAL: Trump’s daily diet of six outright lies
This man wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on his behind! He has declared himself "above the law," and is working to become America's first dictator. Meanwhile the U.S. Congress sits on its hands and does NOTHING! Say goodbye to democracy in America as it appears to be ending.

Disney lays out Lighthouse Point plan
No! No and NO!
Disney must not be allowed to desecrate yet another pristine area in the Bahamas. Let's look at their Castaway Cay property. What have the done for the Bahamas and Bahamians? A few paltry jobs to clean up after the hordes of tourists leave. Disney has their own staff on the ships and bring them ashore when the ships are in port. So what kind of jobs will they bring to Eleuthera? Is it worth a few low-paying jobs?
And there's no way to make a place "sustainable" with 2500+ people being disgorged from these megaships 4 or 5 days per week. No way!
Disney must go elsewhere -- go find a nice US property in the Florida Keys to destroy and leave the Bahamas alone!

If Government allows this we will only assume that their pockets have been filled with Disney currency. A polite thanks but no thanks should suffice. Florida Cays are a grand idea!

Family’s agony after Marco brother slain
The loss of two sons in such tragic circumstances. Enough to set both parents and other family members out their heads. And imagine when family and friends of these murdered young boys hear the prime minister and police spokesmen saying Bahamians can feel safe again. What a travesty. Progress being made yes, but a long ways to go still, especially in the inner cities of New Providence.

I cried when I watched Fyre documentary, reveals Aussie model
These models were hired so early in the game and, according to the film, were told that the nasty man had purchased the island. It is NOT their responsibility to check ownership and they had no way to know that during following months the whole thing would turn out to be a scam. Nn fact no-one knew it was a scam until the day of the festival. I can't see how these models could be held liable in any way.

I can't say that Disney had a great environmental reputation when they finished with Bakers Bay on North end of Great Guana Cay, Abaco. They dredged and tore the whole area up then abandoned it later and left junk and trash everywhere. 150 menial jobs in S Eluthera at best. Ask the folks in Sandy Point Abaco today what they get from Gorda / Castaway Cay.

Realtors: Dorian tax breaks 'plus' as vultures hover
This may well be one time the hovering vultures and equally greedy realtors justly learn an important lesson the hard way. Prices of properties in high end coastal communities all along the southeastern seaboard of the U.S. (from Florida up through the Carolinas) are coming under serious downward pressure because of declining buyers (falling demand) attributed to fears about rising sea levels and the risks posed by the increasing frequency of catastrophic hurricanes like Dorian.

It's th attack of the Gussie Maes. You can watch the jitney tilt when they get on. When they visit the doctor's office, the scale says "Please dismount from your horse while getting weighed".
But that een the wust of it. I heard that LBT was arrested for having ten pounds of crack. Een nobody gern push her around. Once she was locked inside a SuperValue for the weekend and almost starved to death.
But I digress. We should have sold ourselves to India instead of China -- cows are sacred there!
