Forget the fact that you have a conglomerate of 4 separate waste professionals...LOCALLY...that have been fighting and fighting with government to take on recycle and reuse initiatives for YEARS!! Government would never listen...but hey...when some big foreign money comes along, and they can swing some money deal on the side to line their pockets...BOOM...a solution is made. Disgraceful.

Sure. Why watch porn in the privacy of your home when you can peek into a church building window at just the right time and perhaps catch a glimpse of the pastor having sex with someone?

Man. Screw the Christian council. Who cares what those morons have to say?

Marijuana is far less detrimental to the Bahamas and family life than, say, alcohol or the Christian Council.

Get a life..................... do you know how many individuals and I daresay households must survive off less than $28,000 per year in this country???????????? Check the latest government Poverty Report
A government General Service Worker (they hired 4,000 this past year) gets paid $10,000 per year. Most of those are women who head households with seeral children as well.

MPs are too greedy
Lets look at something else................... most of these MPs are either self employed as doctors, lawyers, accountants, dentists, or entrepreneurs. The vast majority of them make far more money than the average Bahamian. let alone civil servants. For them, $28,000 is just like an allowance to begin with. ......................... how can it be when they have a real day job.
On top of that, most MPs in the government are paid for every other position they hold e.g. Cabinet, Executive Chairman, Speaker, Parliamentary Secretary, Ambassador etc. If you do that in the Civil Service it is called "moonlighting" or "double dipping" ....................
But not to to these fellas. Different strokes for different folks. THAT IS WHY MOST BAHAMIANS ARE UPSET.

A raise in salary has NOT been earned. These men are not working as representatives of anyone, therefore they deserve no full time pay as representatives of anyone. Most of these guys enter politics for the SOLE purpose of advancing their personal businesses and to have an opportunity to illegally and unethically redirect lucrative contracts to themselves and their shell businesses, legal work, building rentals, cleaning services, paper supplies, accounting services. We would be hard pressed to find two out of these men who devote enough time to even qualify for the 28,000 salary they currently receive, if their salary is increased we should have sworn statements from them corroborating hours worked, what was achieved and review of their bank books to ensure they are not double dipping.

@SP who says he was recognized? That is why I asked the question what is he? Is a Bahamian or an American? I don't believe in this bull about Bahamian-American etc.Now turn your head and take the huge chip off your shoulder.
