Christie not up to the job

I WAS raised in the Christian faith and though I still believe in a power greater than myself - or the rulers of any country - I cannot be called religious.

just yesterday I checked, and milk was 8.49. VAT is doing nothing for us but contributing more to unemployment. Now the government is embarrassed that we have no other main source of income besides tourism yet they continue to dish out excuse after excuse while not solving the growing problem that they promised to fix. After VAT you will see a dire situation here in the Bahamas almost like a depression where it will take years for revenue to rise before more implementations can be made because of our high debts. They cant expect to employ everyone out of work in the tourism industry, thats why I have no faith in Bahamar because that will only secure a small portion of jobs, very small. We need agriculture and industrial businesses to aid in both income and jobs. They let the Morton Salt company come here and take all of our salt from our best salt flat that could have been in export to business and revenue for us. This government and the chaos now happening is a result of all the things the government did not do to promote a lazy, slack, irresponsible lifestyle for Bahamians. Now we are reaping what we sowed because Bahamians groomed into slackness do not know the proper way of doing business or conducting business, thats why we will forever be modern day slaves to the investor.

They need to ask the potcake chairman how much money he and his various 'enterprises' owe BEC...last I heard it was over 300,000. So to paraphrase the first poster on this comments section...go ahead and piss off the white man who pays his bills...but let's let the black brother slide and get some free power. One of these days, chances are you will be going to Mr. Roberts to beg for a packing boy position...sigh

I wish for just one month the idiots who have no idea what it costs to run a successful business would have to wear Mr. Roberts shoes. He did not get where is financially today like so many politicians, he got his the old fashioned way by working for it. And the idiot who wants to make it racial you are the kind who are ashamed of your colour and none us of had any control over that but you are responsible for for your attitude.

ABOMINATION 5 years, 6 months ago on ‘Drastically shrinking’ middle class market

Agree with most sentiments posted here. Who does Mr. Kinsale think he is fooling? Why did he do this article...they do it to stay relevant and to try pretend they have a good reputatin and heart. Name one community they built geared towards affordable homes for young professionals? First off, why don't we just do a forensic audit on how Mr. Kinsale came into his wealth? All these high end developments I suspect, does not belong to Mr. Kinsale, the numbers boy knows just how to use the once legitimate Developers, who went bankrupt to help them launder their dirty numbers money all over this country! Gamblers all over this country are giving their hard earned money to these numbers bosses easily, whilst they have to get up and work countless hours to make a salary. They live in their fancy Ocean Estates homes, whilst the poor gambler scrambles to find money to pay for food, light and necessities..no wonder. And you would think they would build homes for the low to middle class....no such thing, its all about the money, money, money...greed, greed, greed, and extortion. The Expat investors are over paying for them anyway...One Cable beach looks nothing like the rendering, they deviated from the plan, and so it looks like a Police Barracks or a commercial building from the outside. They also racked up the prices from the original first brochure, ensuring out of the reach of most Bahamians. Now lets talk about the greedy Realtors, who tell all the Expats to stay away from East and West, unless its gated......there are many lovely homes in the East and West just sitting because Realtors and some Lawyers are telling them not to buy in regular neighborhoods, such as Westward Villas, Cable Beach, The Grove, West Ridge Estates, etc. Well there are many lovely homes in those areas, and they have far less crime than some gated communities,....Sandy Port always have incidences, and so too does Lyford Cay,Old Fort Bay..... so Realtors stop this practice forthwith!!!! and show the clients homes in all areas, not just the gated ones.....Let them choose for themselves. We are kept down by are very own..sad..sad.....
