We should all be quiet. If this is truly authentic, the next word I want to hear on this issue should be from Amnesty International... Let's hear what they have to say about this. If this is genuine, God help us.

Minnis will not pay bill for reception
You can take the man out of the ghetto, but not the ghetto out of the man - pay up, we will not be paying for your personal parties. You knew the day before, that was enough time - 24 hours - to decide if you can pay or whether to cancel. Simple.
As for whether the other party is doing it, 2 wrongs do not make a right. And there is no evidence that the other party did not pay for their personal parties - however Minnis has come to the press saying he had a party at the expense of tax payers, and that he is not paying for it. His political party is essentially robbing the Bahamian people, and quite boldly. Minnis, your net worth is over $10 million, meanwhile kids are begging outside the food stores, pharmacies, and at traffic lights.
The right thing to do is pay for this, then go after expenses by the other party. Otherwise you are just as bad as them.

While no human being other than union works at BEC would take the idea of Comrade Shane seriously, it must be treated as an attempt by this minister to legitimize an double dipping salary program that goes beyond human greed. This is an economic terrorist attack upon the people's public treasury. Have you no shame, Shane?

These are the things that drive honest, hardworking citizens who significantly contribute to the Bahamas, out of their own country. No one wants to be in a country that is held hostage by unruly, spoiled civil servants, an uncaring government, or religious fanatics. I would rather be living in a first world country where respect is the norm, where people are held accountable for their actions and pay taxes any day!

strangely enough, the street from freedom park to prince charles is the poor man's las vegas strip
the nice food store that existed there has long closed, and a web shop started, now there are 4-5 on that strip
surely some of this crime has to do with gambling

Did the immigration officers do anything wrong? Shouldn't he have been traveling with some document that proves his status? Why then did the government apologize and if there was the need to apologize because the officers acted inappropriately, shouldn't someone be fired or at least reprimanded?
Seems to me like his colour and social status played a big role in the need for this apology. Care to refute or clarify that Mr. Minister?

We all knew this kind of stuff would happen under the PLP. Yet everyone voted for them. The Bahamian people are getting exactly what they deserve.

Police officer dies - after treatment in hospital for ankle injury
I'm no medical professionals but it sames that this Life could have probably been saved by ibuprofen or aspirin or any anti-inflammatory, blood thinning medication in small doses. This would have temporarily prevented cloths until the bodies natural healing process took place. We have so many people that pass away unnecessarily because of our mentality towards diet and simple common sense preventative measures. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

Police officer dies - after treatment in hospital for ankle injury
Very sad story indeed. It sounds to me that officer Demeritte experienced a classic pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the pulmonary artery). Family members and friends of any patient experiencing trauma to any part of the body would be well advised to ask their doctor about the use of clot-preventing drugs such as Heparin or Aspirin.... and if a blood-clot is indeed suspected, then they can be prescribes clot-busting, anticoagulant drugs such as Warfarin or Coumadin. Unfortunately, pulmonary embolisms occur very quickly and are 95% fatal. If you or any of your love ones have experience trauma to any part of the body and after a few days start to experience pain, redness, warmth, and inflammation of any of the calf muscles of the leg (left or right), then report to the hospital immediately. This may indicate a case of deep vain thrombosis which can lead to a pulmonary embolism. Avoid rubbing or massaging the calf muscles because this is what causes the thrombus to break off in the veins and eventually gets lodged in the pulmonary artery of the lungs. This is what causes the shortness of breath and inability to breath. Just some food for thought.

We are truly the laughingstock of the world. Christie doesn't make any sense when he speaks. The words are there but it is just words without meaning. Nobody has the guts to say that he is off his rocker because they never had it so good with an easily confused Christie. Baltron Bethel was showing signs of mental decrepitude even when he was with the Hotel Corporation and nobody said anything. And you have partisan apologists like TalRussell who when any observations of the truth in regards to the pathetic state of the PLP, they jump to the fore defending the imbeciles. It is no wonder that foreigners think that we are nation of retards, and ripe for the picking. They pluck our goose regularly.
With the PLP cabinet, the overall IQ is the largest shoe size divided by the number of people in the cabinet. The collective IQ of the PLP really declined when Kenyatta Gibson left, mainly because of his large feet.
It is really really sad that no one has the intestinal fortitude to show that Christie is plainly off his rocker.
