check what PGC says in the guardian ,they did go to the hospital ,IF Minnis did not stay on them 2 cronies ,retired judge and clergymen ,would have come out and said nothing happened ,,PGC you are the PM if you want the report faster than 3 months you could have it ,in fact you already have it and are buying time ,now your afraid to release a "white washed" version b/c you don,t know exactly what Doc Minnis has ,interesting political theater ....,

ThisIsOurs 11 years, 3 months ago on PM: Minnis will pay price over Cuban claims

This is just plain weird.

Which authorities is the PM referring to? Is he referring to himself who after 3months just seems to be getting involved publicly and admitting that something happened? Who allowed the Bahamian public to believe that nothing happened and our good name was being besmirched without cause? Which authorities took too long to act? Please clarify. Reporters please ask.

Why is the PM attacking Dr Minnis for doing what any good opposition should? Question WHY?

Investigation....hmmm this seems relatively simple..someone (at least one) went to the hospital to be treated. Someone had to treat them and document the nature of the injuries and the likely causes of the injury. If the beatings were that severe someone had to meet it out and be interviewed. There is reasonable force and unreasonable force...a severe beating would be unreasonable force.

Since this is causing harm to the entire Bahamas as the PM says, the entire Bahamas needs a truthful report about what happened and when it happened: when did the incident happen? When did the detainee go to the hospital? Was it reported as a crime that night? When was defence force command informed? When was Dr Nottage informed? When was Fred Mitchell informed? When was the PM informed? When was cabinet informed?

The more i hear, it seems the video may have actually been a reenactment just as Mr Minnis claimed...

Full of hot air...someone was beaten severely.

banker 11 years, 3 months ago on Adrian Gibson: Activist Rodney Moncur tells of his struggles and challenges

The police are definitely out of control and a law unto themselves. As are the prison guards and the RBDF. I am still waiting for the prosecution of Sandy Mackey, who as a prison guard, went into the back of the prison bus, and shot and killed a recaptured prisoner who was handcuffed to the bus. It was murder plain and simple and an extra-judicial killing that went unpunished. Why do these things happen only under the PLP regimes?

I used to think Rodney Moncur was a joke. I have a lot of respect for him now. I can respect anyone who stands up to guard their principles.

Shares will still be sold to the Bahamian public and C&W still maintains control. Was not that the plan from the beginning? So really what has changed? The 2% that will go into the trust. So this is what PC was negotiating for the last 18 months, a foundation?

It's a farce and many people will eat this foolishness up. Unfortunately so many Bahamians fell for okie doke during the campaign. Any individual with an ounce of sense knew that they couldn't get controlling shares back......not at the price they were willing to pay. At the end of the day this deal makes BTC bottom line look better. Before any donations/charitable contributions were a part of their expenses but now they will flow through the trust hence they don't have to record it as an expense. No telling what other expenses can be diverted by BTC through the trust. The boys in London are rolling over with laughter. I'm sure we were are globally perceived as a bunch of idiots.

I don't think that you could say Bahamaspress is even a press entity. They are a bunch of illiterates and liars (I have to laugh whenever they say that they have a team of embedded correspondents when in fact all they get is emails from slime intent on destroying other slime and lower life elements). Their website is more comedy than anything else, but since they have such low standards of human truth and intelligence, I feel like I need a shower in the very rare times that I visit their website. They are not the press but rather a bunch of partisan yahoos with delusions of grandeur who take delight in supporting a criminal political party that is retarded and retards the Bahamas.

Some people are off their head...was it yesterday's paper, or a couple days ago, the police were commenting that area ranks and 8 out of 10 on the BAD side for drugs and guns...let's pick one of our worst hot spots and lob some tourists into the mix. Idiots.

pablojay 11 years, 6 months ago on Keith Bell’s 'ill-advised statements and public gaffes'

Some years ago, when Keith Bell was was a police officer and going to evening classes ,studying law, a lecturer wrote that he was a very good candidate to become an attorney and that he should pursue law seriously. He did so , graduating at the top of his class at UWI.He was one of the speakers chosen at my child's COB orientaton some years ago and i could not believe tha this was the same person and as he has entered politics , i am still of the same view.,which leads me to believe that you do not have to be the brightest to become a lawyer. My main point about his comment about the billboards that the PLP placed about the murders in tourist frequented areas ,concerns the inadequate job that our journalists are doing, because if they were on the ball when he made that comment, surely one of them could have asked if he would have a problem with the billboards NOW.
