The sad truth is that there is NO economic plan for the Out Islands ............ the FNM put in some basic infrastructure since 1992 and the PLP has done very little to advance the development of the southern or central islands. But with very little FDI and domestic investment to encourage jobs and entrepreneurial growth in the islands, they will continue to flounder and die.

Foreign companies like Scotiabank will eventually move on when the profits dry up ......... the numbers houses have effectively sucked up all of the cash business and big loans continue to default.

LBT needs to encourage her party leader to present a viable economic plan to reinvigorate life in the Family Islands .......................... anything different from the BAMSI-style projects of the PLP

The mother never said she was worried about her son. She said she hoped the person who murdered him will be brought to justice. It is not normal for parents to have to bury their young children who do not die from natural causes. But in the Bahamas at least one hundred young men under the age of 30 are dying each year from murder. We, as s country, seem to be helpless to stop these killings so we are attempting to justify the actions by vilifying the victims. Murder is murder.

"700 islands, rocks and cays"; can we please move HMS Prison out of New Providence, in what is a residential area, and move it to another island? Move the Detention Centre too.

This is a damning story .............. I am sure the O/C on the island would have to answer to this. But I am sure that this story can be repeated on ALL of the islands of The Bahamas. There are too many lousy police officers ........ and other civil servants. One of the major reasons why our government system is not respected or feared by the average citizen.................... the face of the government is not well represented to the public.

There is more crooked and criminal happenings going on in these Family Islands than anyone would wish to reveal ............ now that a small insight was given into what goes on in Mayaguana and Long Island involving law enforcement, we have all kinds of outcry ....... but these islands are far from serene and peaceful ......................................... they are teeming with mischief

Are you the island's Commish, Chief Councillor or MP??????? Send an investigative journalist to each island and let them reveal the smut that goes on in these closed communities .............. it will rival Bain Town and Fox Hill
