Such an 'honest' government we are dealing with...let's make ourselves look good by not discolsing all the facts...our loyal followers will accept them without question and think we are masters of their universe. We can do no wrong in their eyes.

Disgraceful...

Well one way to get the crime statistics down is to not report or include certain crimes in the police reports. If it were not so serious I'd be laughing.

The more they speak, the more laughable they become. Trying to remember a single article lately where a PLP official spoke where I did not just hang my head in shame to call them the governing party. At least I can stand proud in the fact that I sure as heck did not vote for them to be in power. For those of you who did vote for them, you reap what you sow. How many more years we have of this foolishness?

TalRussell I am proud of your bipartisan assessment as I know how hard that must have been for you to call out your beloved PLP brethren.

The only thing I will add is that Bahamians need to stop saying, "well we need to give so and so a chance" This chance mentality is exactly what that word means a chance. Would you take a chance with your life or a guarantee with your life? And yes, nothing is guaranteed, but everything with the PLP is a chance. As many of us are now learning that chance initially is not thought to affect you directly, but the life of the country affects as all individually on some level.

For those that voted DNA, again I will say it, voting for a 3rd party that will never become elected makes no sense to me. Protest should be done vocally in the form of letters or protest, but NEVER in the voting booth, that is sensible democracy. A reminder, we live under a parliamentary system, the majority of seats will win the PM seat! This is how our government works, please remember that the next time you wish your vote to have a "say".

@ larry Why compare to America? Our spent dollars does little to the overall economy of the U.S. But the tourist dollar has a huge affect on our Bahamas. We need to do a lot more looking in the mirrior rather than hopping it is not so in our own homeland.

It's called a GLOBAL RECESSION...yes...GLOBAL economies were booming back in 2007...scroll forward a couple years to the market crash and it has nothing to do with the FNM...the Bahamian economy was going to come crashing down just like every other global economy. Sadly the uneducated masses can't see beyond their noses and realize this fact, and have gotten themselves into a right pickle with what is rapidly being exposed as an extremely corrupt governing party. I hope we make it to 2017 with enough pieces held loosely enough together that we can pull it all back together again.

I long for the day when Mr. Christie and the rest of the PLP fellas will stop having Bahamian people for fools. More so, I pray for the day when Bahamian people stand up and stop accepting the foolishness of Mr. Christie and the rest of the PLP fellas.

I don't think anyone would be upset over the department doing its job. However the facts should be checked first. Also doing your job includes all illegal immigrants. So let them go to the so called "shanty towns" and do what they did to Atlantis.

...and so the plot thickens...welcome to your duly elected government Bahamaland. Absolutely despicable...but frankly not surprised knowing this is the only way the PLP know hot to play the game. Time to offload and privatise more of the utilities and get these cash cows of sorts out of the hands of corrupt government officials and get the government back into the business of governing, and not doing political favours at the expense of the taxpayer.
