This better be a wakeup call for all Bahamians. Criminals are running this nation. Baha Mar was just the tip of the iceberg. Why no Chapter 11 workout, where all the Bahamian contractors would have been immediately paid; all employees would have been paid; and by now resort would be open and all the country would be better off? Because that would have exposed the corruption between influential Bahamians and the Chinese Bank and Construction firm. This is not petty corruption. Now we're talking about hit men. That while leaders posture about "crime". This goes to the soul of the country.

These disclosures although not sursprising are appalling and an absolute affront to all right thinking Bahamians. Why do we tolerate a government that is crooked to the core of its being? Shame on the Prime Minister and shame on the PLP.

In a real country, the government would collapse. In the Bahamas, the PLP will close ranks and start pumping more smoke and building more mirrors than they ever have before. This is treason and heads should roll! Bahamians, it is time to permanently retire the corrupt and worthless PLP!

The disgrace is the fact that not one PLP politician has admitted that they LIED about having the answer to crime. The PLP said whatever they thought would get them elected which where a bunch of LIE"S. Anything to get power so you can steal from the people, right you scum.

Well we could have told him that in 2012 when his Party were erecting those ridiculous Billboards around the country. But NOW we all have to work together. They are beneath contempt.

The first and only sensible thing this government of jokers has done in four years. A quick thank you is in order. Let's vote on this and say yes in referendum and then promptly vote these thieves and jokers out after that.

To clarify, they created 20,000 jobs for Latino and Asian blue collar workers...Not Bahamians!

Good work geniuses. Now those Latinos and Asians are pumping $100's million to home countries & out of circulation and our local economy has collapsed.

Brilliant! ......Goats!

Economist 8 years, 8 months ago on Immigration chief says investigator had no permit

The Punch printed a letter written by Fred Smith, early last year,to the Police referring to several reports that had been made about the safety of the Save The Bay persons and the fact that he had no answer.

He referred to the numerous requests for a police investigation, which had been met with silence.

Now you get caught with your pants down and the only thing you can investigate is if someone came in without a work permit? What a bunch of jokers!

Well_mudda_take_sic 8 years, 8 months ago on Immigration chief says investigator had no permit

A work permit requirement cannot be used to shield one from investigation and criminal prosecution in instances where clear evidence of criminal wrong doing is found to exist. The information gatherer's lack of a work permit does not somehow invalidate the evidence of criminal wrong doing that has been gathered and made public. The incriminating information gathered and made public in this matter need not have been obtained by anyone with a work permit or search warrant.
